This meat tenderiser is a heavy duty item, markedly heavier than the aluminium one I was using before and which was ancient and becoming corroded. You can't put those in the dishwasher but you can with the new one.One end is dimpled, the other is flat for hammering out things like schnitzels.I'm well pleased with it.

This is a good weight with easy to clean rounded spikes which do the job well. My only slight criticism which stops me awarding 5 stars is that I could do with the handle being a bit longer which would provide more heft. I've noticed no degeneration of the metal with use - not that it's been used extensively - but I'd say all in all it's a good tool to have in the kitchen and good value for money.

All reviews are subjective. The unit has good weight and is well finished. I would prefer the dimples to be more pointed than rounded as this would provide better breaking of the fibres that make cheap cuts tougher. Also, certainly worth buying if you want a good chuckle about the functionality printed on the carton!

I had been using the same tenderiser for years & thought it was about time to retire it. After reading others reviews, I went for this one & glad I did - just the right weight & very easy to clean. Recommended.

I only use one side as see no need for the other as it has no spikes to tenderizer meat! But in the heavy side but other wise it’s very strong.

I was a bit nervous about buying this as it seemed heavy - my wrist is not very healthy. I used it yesterday and had no problem wielding it. It feels solid and of good quality.

Feels really solid and heavy. The nobbles are small and rounded, so different from my previous hammers – but it seems to work well.

Excellent product. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but this hammer impressed. Good weight. Well put together. Easy to clean. Get one if it's like mine you won't be disappointed.
