Ehhh… mixed results
I found only half of what I planted grew. I think regular potting soil gave me better results. Dries quickly. Plants look yelllowish as if they need nitrogen.

Well Explained Approach to Seed Germination
The media could not be loaded. Seed germination can be tricky at best. Mosser Lee Seed Starter uses a well balanced blend to aid in healthy germination. I'm the type of gardener who likes to move quickly on the preparation part of my plant project. So what really pleased me was how simple instructions on the package took all the guess work out and any additional research for the best results - how to mix the product, best light exposure and recomendation such as using plastic wrap to maintain moisture and humidity.

A real disappointment--predecessor product was far superior
Let me preface this review by saying I'm an advanced gardener and seed starter. I start hundreds of seeds each year and I've been doing it for 15+ years. I used this company's predecessor product, NoDampOff Spaghnum Seed starter, for about that long. NoDampOff performed flawlessly, but sadly, it is no longer available from Mosser Lee and this is Mosser Lee's replacement product. (Mosser Lee also increased the price, which means: new item, less value and performance. What a bummer all around.)I did everything the same this year: same seed starting containers, same method, same type of diluted fertilizer after the seedlings get their first set of true leaves. My seeds germinated in this product, but it caused about 1/2 of my tomato seedlings and pepper seedlings to wilt well after maturity, and this was not damping off...this was just withering after they got about six inches tall. Also, they just looked...sickly and not stocky as they usually did. This was the result across different seed types. The only thing that saved some of them was getting them out of the seed starting soil and into potting soil. But it still put me way behind and it took the ones that lived about 2-3 weeks to rebound. All in all, considering the losses and poor performance, I will not be buying this product again. I returned it. What a shame because the predecessor product really performed flawlessly.
