Works as advertised
I recently realized I was beginning to rely on some medication as a way to not feel like junk. The cravings are mild and they tend to disappear after 3-7 days. To put it into perspective sugar cravings are far stronger in my experience. Well, I decided to try out this timer lock box to stash my medicinal products. So far its working great! I like that it doesn't require any batteries. You simply connect it to a Type-C charger cable, set the timer amount (weeks, days, hours, minutes). Then, unplug the cable and put the box somewhere out of sight. The chip inside remembers the time whether its connected to power or not. So after I've allowed myself to partake on any given weekend, I set the timer for 2 weeks and put the box away. At whatever point in the future, past 2 weeks if I want some medicine I connect it to a Type-C cable and the display comes to life, realizes the full time has passed and allows me to open it. My only complaint is that you have to manually calculate the days/hours yourself if you want the box to open at a specific moment. It would be nice if it had some kind of calendar so you could simply select a specific day/time. But otherwise it does exactly what it's designed for.

By far the best time locked box I've found (and I've tried almost all of them).
It's like if Apple designed a time locked box. I'm truly amazed at the level of effort and detail that went into designing this. Other time-lock boxes haven't always worked for me, because they're so cheaply made and easy to break/replace. The build quality on this one is very high though, it's an all-metal enclosure, there's really no way to easily break into it without using heavy tools, making a ton of noise, and completely destroying it. The buttons/interface/software make setting the time effortless. It has memory of previous settings, the buttons cycle through hours/minutes/seconds quickly and smoothly, it doesn't make annoying beep sounds. It's even rechargeable via USB-C. The price makes this no comparison to the other competitors for time-lock boxes. I don't know why anyone would even consider the others when this one is SO much better and still SO affordable. I never imagined someone would design such a high-quality product, because this is a very niche product category. But I think the people who created it must have some shared passion for the idea, because they really thought of every detail and made something amazing here.

Defective on arrival, but fixable with some tape.
So the box has a mechanism that tells the system if the door is open or closed. The box WILL NOT LOCK if it thinks the door is open. The mechanism was bent (plastic), so my box always thought it was open even when it was closed; so I could not get it to lock. I took it apart to see if I could deactivate the sensor by unplugging it (didn’t work). And I tried to adjust the angle of the mechanism but couldn’t get it to stay and didn’t want to break it (plastic)…. So I went with some handy dandy electrical tape and using a tiny screwdriver held the detent mechanism down and taped it down so it now always thinks that it’s closed…

Good for phones / big items but…
5/5 because the safe works, not easy to brute open unless you were to throw it I’m sure. I’m leaving this review for anyone who decides to buy this for things that are not electronics, specifically things in baggys. There’s a 3/4 inch whole on the side for running cables through for phones, makes sense but again if you’re putting bags / baggys in the save to prevent urges or temptations, the hole makes it very very easy to shimmy anything small through it. Great safe for phones, not for baggied items.

Best time-locking box I've tried so far.
So I don't usually write reviews, but this product helped me solve something I've been struggling with forever: abusing my adderall prescription. I'd tried the time-locking plastic boxes, but you can very easily break into those(a small child could break into those to be honest). This box is made of metal, so you can't just smash it. It does not have an emergency override, and is overall the most sturdy box I've used so far. I'm withholding the fifth star because of a couple obvious flaws. First of all, the instructions literally say "break top lid in case of emergency", the top lid is actually plastic, while the rest of the box is metal. It's a rather thick top lid and you will not be breaking into this thing with your bare hands, but a reasonably determined adult could get into this box with some tools in probably 30 minutes. It's not going to be easy, and hopefully in the process you realize that you are being impulsive. And that leads me to my second critique. The actual locking mechanism relies on this smal metal lip on the inside of the box. You can see it in the product photos. While this part is metal, it's still pretty thin and could be bent with enough force. I want a box that has 3 or even 4 of these lips that form a ring around the box. That would begin approaching an actual time-locking box. I want a warning that says "WE ARE NOT LIABLE IF YOU LOCK SOMETHING YOU NEED IN THIS BOX, THE BOX CAN NOT BE OPENED ONCE TIMER IS SET" instead of "break top lid in case of emergency" However so far I have had great success with managing my adderall prescription using this box. And for a reasonable price on top of it. Now I'm hoping the makers of boxes like these realize there is a market for a slightly more expensive metal time locking box that has multiple locking points instead of one single metal lip.

Very durable for the people who have dementia
Box is very durable and battery operated. Timer can be set for minutes, hours and days if necessary. Very reliable too if your family member has dementia or diabetes and has time tables for food or insulin. Can set and put in fridge for these too. I have several and he has not broken into this one like the other plastic ones.

Love that can finally get a lock safe with more than a 7 day lock period and that it has no manual overide.

I've thought of this object countless times in fighting milder addictions. What a pleasant surprise it was to see that someone built it, and that it performs exactly as expected. UI is simple and well made: you will not make the wrong action by mistake. I've not had any software bug or hardware issue. This box works and behave precisely as it should. The quality/durability looks good to me, like I can keep using this box for the next 10 years and it will remain intact. For all these reasons, it's worth the slightly high price.

Works perfectly to me, only improvement I can see is if enough coding could fit into something this simple to grant it's user a 2 times a year emergency opening or something of that sort. As it is now however I prefer that the only emergency is thru cable charging, but I do wonder if I may one day by accident set the timer way off. I guess if the maker implement a "extra life" function and limit it to twice a year it would be an easier solve than my first idea.

Easy to use, solid, unpossible to open once locked (unless battery are fully down)
