Very effective cutters
Not something I'd recommend for precision work, but by far the fastest and most effective method of getting from A to B through wood. This stubby set is ideal for tight spaces and their reach can be extended with standard extension bit holders for impact drivers.

Good quality Irwin bits
Really good bits. Self cut and once going do it effortlessly. Perfect for an electrician when running cables through joists. Short enough to fit the drill between joists for nice level holes.

Spot on for joist holes
I don't normally do reviews but these have impressed me.Right out the packet I gave the 25mm one a go on some offcut joist timber, just using the 18v combi drill, and it self fed then went through the wood like a knife through butter!! The only thing to note is DO NOT have your drill set to a fast speed as the torque reaction is very strong on these and can catch you by surprise.I got them to drill holes through joists for domestic wiring jobs as longer bits dont fit, even with an angled drill attachment (i cant justify getting a proper angled drill yet). These fit using the angle attachment nicely if you have access for the drill itself through the floor or ceiling. They're a good size set; the 16mm for cooker cables or smaller singles, and the other two for groupings or also for pipework. The hole they leave is nice and smooth, so no snags when you're feeding the cables or pipes. So in summary... they're spot on.

Great for wood with no nails
Say it will go through nails but it doesn't. I'm a heating engineers and sometimes yiu will hit a nail... then yiu will throw this away and but another one. Unless you only qork with wood i would recommend "beaver bits"

Fast & compact
These bits are great for drilling joist. There short enough for you to get your regular combi or impact driver between joist and they power through with ease. A lot faster than flat bits! A must have for any plumber or sparks.
