Tactic Games Classic Collection: Kalaha Mancala - Wooden

I was first introduced to this game by my friends brother (who had been to Africa via V.S.O in the early nineties ) and we all loved it. Its very simple game,easy to learn,quick and hugely enjoyable. So much so that I recently bought this for my friends granddaughter. :)

Husband loved this for his birthday. He remarked that when stood up it looks like a book so may be kept on the bookshelf when not in use.

Good solid well finished wooden board with pretty stones and sensible metal case. One niggle.The depressions for the stones are too shallow so if more than five are in one they spill over onto the board and are easily replaced in the wrong depression. ( Small children consider this an opportunity to cheat!)

The 12 spaces for stones are too small. If you play and more than 5-6 stones pile up in one space they tend to slip out or slip into next spaces.

Terrible quality, untreated wood, broken and sub quality around the hinge Stones are way too big, you cannot play the game like that Instructions are not readable, neither English nor German make any sense

Spelet är helt ok. Man får vad man betalar för. Men bilden överstämer ej med produkten jag fick. Plåtburken var blå och med enbart blå glasstenar i, ej brun eller multifärgade som marknadsförs på bilden.

Mi piace tantissimo questo gioco e il legno e le pietrine di cristallo sono stupendi. Inoltre viene con due/tre pietrine in più caso mai qualcuna si smarrisce.

Ein super Spiel für zwei Spieler mit einfachen Spielregeln. Wer taktische, simple Spiele mag, der ist hier richtig :-) Die Verpackung aus Metall ist super! Schön wäre es gewesen, wenn das Holzbrett einen Verschluss hätte. Außerdem sind die Glassteine viel zu groß.. so kommt es eigentlich immer mal vor, dass die Mulden so voll sind, dass die Glassteine nicht mehr reinpassen.
