Sweet Temptation: Men of Honor Series, Book 2

Just like the first book Sweet Temptation seems even better but in all honesty they have been equally brilliant, I don't want to choose and I think it's because the story your reading at the time is so fresh in your mind.I'm so glad I discovered this series, I have been totally consumed with everything (Men Of Honour) I love K.C.Lynn's style and how she brings her characters to life.Grace had been bought to our attention towards the end of the last book and we were aware that she had suffered a great deal already, loosing her Mama at the age of 17yrs and almost suffering the same fate herself but we were yet to find out the full story.Sawyer was sweet on Grace the moment he set eyes on her, and as the story unfolds we watch him trying to win Graces trust but with his womanising ways already under his belt and Cockiness it proved a fairly difficult challenge but he persevered.The sadness that Grace carried around with her was very apparent, Sawyer saw it in her eyes, wanting to know what her story was he asked Julia which she touched on briefly, it was enough though because Sawyer was on a mission from then on in, wanting to know everything that had happened to her and wanting to make feel happy and safe.To say this story is extremely sad in parts is an understatement I was in a perpetual state of sadness most of the time but it was the same with the first book and I'm under know elusion that Cade's book is going to be even more emotional.Throughout Grace and Sawyers story your treated to a mix of extreme sadness and heartache, survival, loyalty but most of all love which Sawyer had plenty of and it was all for Grace it was beautiful to witness.With fantastic characters being bought to life, Mac being one of them, the relationship between him and Grace was extremely special and very endearing, as for Sawyer he went above and beyond to bring Grace happiness, security and her ultimate dream it really couldn't have got any better it was totally beautiful in the end, I knew we wouldn't be disappointed with Sawyer..!!Thank you K.C. Having read the first book I couldn't wait to find out more about Grace's character. From the snippets that we got in book one it became apparent that her life before Sunset Bay held disturbing memories for her. The telling of Grace and Sawyers story was a deeply emotional one, and it's done gradually. Grace is wary and afraid, and Sawyer is a former man-whore who at first isn't sure what he wants from Grace. Having said that he doesn't tip toe around Grace, he's all alpha and goes in full bore. He's the sort of man that will make you sit up and take notice whether you want to or not. Grace has a lot to deal with, her past is something that is truly horrific and it broke my heart. But it wasn't just the upsetting parts of the story that had me weeping, it was also the tender, loving moments between her and Sawyer. OMG, they were just so good together. His need to protect Grace at times felt like a physical pain it was so intense. I am amazed and in awe at how the author conveys the characters emotions so well, they dove from the page straight into my heart. The sex scenes are raw and carnal and convey the urgency both characters feel to be connected to each other, but there are also sweet, tender moments that had my eyes filling with tears. I love the fact that we are still involved in the surrounding characters lives as they are an integral part of the story. The connection they all share is based on history, respect, loyalty and love and it allows us to see the true depth of these characters. There's nothing they wouldn't do to protect the ones they love. This author has not only captured my imagination with this series, but also my heart. For me, this series is epic, and one that will stay with me long after I've finished the last page.

Sweet Temptation is addictive to read as much as cupcakes are to eat!This book delivered everything I love to read in a sweet romance book. Grace is a sweet and strong girl forced to grow up fast after losing her mother in a horrific way. Meeting Julia and Kayla would forever change Grace’s life as she settled in Sunset Bay. Independent and confident until every time sexy Sawyer steps into the diner where she works hitting her with his good looks, teasing charm, cocky ego and swagger that has her eyes following his every move. The chemistry between Grace and Sawyer ignites a passion unfamiliar to both and as mistakes are made, feelings are hurt, anger is expressed these two are the bomb when they get together in and out of bed! I loved Sawyer he was so affectionate, protective, sexy and dominant making my book boyfriend list. Whilst Sawyer delivered in abundance heart melting scenes, the author showed Grace’s strength and growth in character as she touched on suffering, loss, trust, faith, friendship and love. The dialogue was written beautifully evoking feelings of devastation, grief, shattered dreams, heartache, family and hopes of a future with a man that made dreams come true.I have many favourite scenes from this book but the one that will stay with me is seeing Jaxon, Sawyer and Cade in action. Sawyer made it his mission to retrieve what belonged to Grace, which resulted in some serious hero worship from me as the guys showed just how badass they were!The Men of Honor is really an amazing series full of loyal passionate alpha men who would do anything when it comes to protecting their women. I am super excited to read Cooper and Kayla’s story as they are my second favourite couple after Julia and Jaxon.

I’m not totally convinced I could actually cope with sexy Sawyer myself but Grace does a wonderful job and my word she deserves a man who will worship the ground she walks on! This is not always an easy read but it is so worth it.

Sawyer and Grace's love story was so beautiful.Graces's story is a lesson in never giving up on life and love. About not letting the evil in the world steal your hapiness... to look for sparkle in amongst the tanish, even if you have to scrub real hard.I can't wait to read the next installment of this amazing series and learn more about Cade and Faith.

Grace was puking sweet and so childish and naive. Hero could do whatever he wanted and she was there for it. Although pretty good sex scenes.

The one thing about being a reading addict as that you can't seem to read fast enough. There is always a great book staring you in the face making you salivate. I devoured Fighting Temptation and was a little sore at myself that I couldn't jump immediately into this one. Now that I have finished it I am so high on the sweet sexy sugar that is Sawyer and Grace. These two captured my heart in a profound way. There are some really emotional back stories that come into play with all of KC Lynn's characters. These Men of Honor as the series is named have lived through something that have made them into strong yet at the same time deeply troubled and emotionally damaged men. Sawyer may have been the one that had the smile all the time and the joke for every moment but he also had his pain inside. Feeling like he let down his dad was something that ate at him. I loved how KC wrote the acceptance and forgiveness into this storyline from Sawyers family . Sawyer made me mad in the beginning but I had to forgive him because really he didn't have any promises made ..but I feel the characters pain when I read and Grace's hurt well I felt it with her and I wanted his lower appendage to fall off suddenly too.But then he just was Sexy Sawyer and made me love him.Sawyer realized that Grace felt for him as strong as he did for her and then he didn't stop till she was his. I loved how hard he went after Grace and how many times he let her know he cared. The words aren't always necessary when the actions are right there to speak louder. Sawyer was shouting his love with every single touch and caress.His love was loud and scorching hot. I loved his filthy mouth so much that my kindle has most of the book highlighted.Grace found a home and a family with Sawyer and these amazing characters. I adored the sweet surprises that they all did for her.Then the romantic parts..those really captured my heart. “Oh my gosh, Sawyer, ain’t it beautiful?” “Yeah,” I say gruffly, not talking at all about the f**ucking snow. Leaning against the door jam, I watch her soak in something that was so simple to me but extraordinary for her. The heavy, white, sparkling flakes begin to coat her long, wavy blonde hair, and fall to her eyelashes. She is the most beautiful fu**cking sight I have ever seen.The way Grace had a pie for every emotion and every occasion was just very sweet and I couldn't help but find myself with a sweet tooth after reading this. But in more ways then that is was an endearing and romantic but sexy as a 911 fire too.For me ..I tend to always find something personal to connect with in my books. Especially ones that I love. There usually is something there that has to really hit me on a personal level. These men decided to fight for their country because of what happened on 9/11 and my son was 15 yrs old when this happened and he did the exact same thing. He is a US Marine and when I read the part about Sawyer making this brave decision and how his dad was so afraid, well it brought me back to my fear and also my pride in my son. So I just felt a very strong kinship with these characters and I can't wait to dive into Cade's story. I also love God with everything in me and I know that his book is going to be a very very big struggle. KC Lynn is one author that makes you feel and feel in vivid color.

Lynn (Men of Honor, book 2) was like a slice of sweet, heavenly bliss!!This passionate, angst-ridden, achingly tender romance between “Sexy Sawyer” and his “Cupcake” gave me goosebumps, warm, gooey feels and heart palpitations throughout!I was GIDDILY anticipating this book because I fell in love with Sawyer’s over-confident, good-natured charm, trademark panty droppin’ smirk and flirty, larger than life persona in FIGHTING TEMPTATION. But this novel proves this hunky ex-Navy Seal is FAR MORE than Jaxson, Cade and Coop’s smart-aleck sidekick. Sure he is playful and boyishly sexy and OOZES charisma, but deep down at the core, he is a ferocious Man of Honor through and through!Sawyer is strong and noble, unflinchingly loyal, and FIERCELY protects his own. Especially when it comes to sweet and sassy Grace...the beautifully beleaguered waitress/scrumptious pie baker who miraculously managed to tame this former ladies man! And as I have mentioned before, the author writes the sweetest heroines! I adore Grace's beautiful, kind and loving heart, her sultry southern accent, her courage and resilience—amid unspeakable pain and loss—and her INCREDIBLE capacity for compassion and forgiveness!These two have a delightful chemistry and sure have their obstacles to overcome. Gah! My heart hurt so hard for all that both of them had gone through, especially poor Grace who never seemed to catch a break! Through the course of the novel, Grace and Sawyer have a lot to work out--yet they never let their issues break them apart, even when it's hard. In fact, one of my favorite things about this couple is how they face their problems head on, often with charm and humor, which is incredibly refreshing! Grace and Sawyer are truly perfect for each other in every way, and this darling duo proves that LOVE DOES INDEED CONQUER EVIL!! Oh and did I mention how FILTHY HOT this book is? Well, it bears repeating!!!Overall, I thought K.C. Lynn did an OUTSTANDING job with SWEET TEMPTATION. She sure can write sensually-charged, drama-packed page-turners with hot, dominant, FEROCIOUSLY protective Alphas and feisty, homespun heroines that yank at the heartstrings like no one’s business! I laughed, cried, shivered, shrieked and swooned throughout!!But I did downgrade half a star because while I thought the story was hyper sexy, emotionally riveting and highly entertaining from start to finish, something happened with Sawyer a third of the way in that tarnished his heroic appeal a smidgen in my eyes. Though thankfully he made proper amends and honestly there is not much this handsome charmer could really ever do to make me stop lovin’ him! He is just so DANG IRRESISTIBLE even when he does jerky things!Ultimately, this book captivated my heart, with a gasp-worthy climax that left me reeling, leading up to a HEA ending that was so HEARTWRENCHINGLY BEAUTIFUL it made me weep with joy!Men of Honor is quickly becoming my fave small-town hero series of ALL TIME, and after that OMG teaser for RESISTING TEMPTATION in the epilogue, I can’t wait to plunge right into book 3. But admittedly with a bit of trepidation because I know Cade’s story is gonna wreck me…in the best possible way of course!
