I don't know if the pens are incredibly dry or just will not work from a left handed grip (because we have to push the pen/ball and not pull). I tried using my right hand and it does seem to skip less, but still occasional skipping of ink. Left handed I can't even get it to write one line consistently. I have to scribble hard to get ink to come out. Not sure if design flaw of pens or these are old and hanging out in storage drying out, but I'm disappointed, was excited about a new interesting pen I hoped to relieve some left-handed writing tension. But no, they don't work at all.

These pens are SO cute and fit really well in my hand (especially because I am left handed). The downside is that the ink tends to be spotty and unreliable. I do really love these pens though, and would buy them again. When they do work, they write very nicely - just beware of this if you are using them away from home without any backup pens around

These pens are really comfortable in your hand. My problem with this purchase is they all dried out within 24 hrs of their 1st use.
