Great appliance
’ve been using the Instant Pot 4 qt RIO Mini 7-in-1 Multi-Cooker for a few weeks now, and it’s become one of my favorite kitchen helpers — especially since I don’t always feel like firing up the stove. It’s small enough that it doesn’t take over my counter, but still big enough to make meals for one or two people or leftovers for lunch, which is perfect for my apartment size. The seven functions — like pressure cook, slow cook, sauté, steam, rice, yogurt, and keep warm — give me tons of flexibility, so I can make anything from soups and rice to yogurt or steamed veggies without juggling multiple pots. It cooks stuff quickly (way faster than my old slow cooker) and cleanup is easy because the pot and lid are dishwasher safe. The progress indicator on the front is a nice touch too since I can see where it is in the cooking cycle at a glance. It’s not perfect — the lack of a detachable power cord and fewer accessories out there can be annoying — but overall it’s very handy, user-friendly, and a great small-space multitasker that I reach for almost every day.

Perfect instant pot for large families
I love it! Cooks thoroughly and efficiently. It's a large size so it's great for feeding a family or cooking for a party. The quality of the instant pot is great and comes with thorough instructions. It's also easy to clean as you can take out the inner pot. The one down side is it does take up a lot of space so if you have a small counter top like me it's something you'll have to store elsewhere. Overall I think it's worth the price and works really well. I recommend it!

Instant Pot Rio: A great way to cook a variety of meals.
I purchased this (Rio) as a replacement for an Instant Pot (Duo) that arrived damaged. Although I haven’t yet received a full refund for the damaged Instant Pot (Duo), I could not wait for the refund because I needed a functioning instant pot. The Instant Pot arrived today (Rio) and it is in great condition. A welcome relief. I will make good use of it. It is a main stay for my cooking needs. The quality appears good and the six quart cooking capacity is perfect for my needs. I will update this post after using it for a while to add more comments. This time just in case I made sure to keep the box. I do not anticipate any problems but all the same I will keep the box for the next thirty days. Instant Pot was recommended to me by a family member and I will definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great easy way to prepare meals. **2/10/2026 Update:** Without any incident, I successfully prepared red lentil soup and oatmeal using this Instant Pot (Rio). This is a significant achievement, as there have been no burn messages or other indications of potential issues with the appliance thus far. I am grateful for this development, as it provides an efficient method for preparing nutritious meals in advance. This is an Instant Pot (Rio) that I can recommend to others and feel good about it.

"Tiny but Mighty! 😍" or "Mini Instant Pot 💡"
"I'm obsessed with my Instant Pot RIO Mini! 😍 It's the perfect size for my small kitchen and does SO many things - pressure cooks, slow cooks, sautés, and more. The 7-in-1 functionality is a game-changer. I've made some amazing recipes with it already, like quick chicken tacos and hearty lentil soup. The app has tons of recipes too. Compact and easy to use!" "Cleaning is a breeze too - the pot and lid are dishwasher safe. The mini size means it's easy to store away when not in use. I've been using it almost daily and love how versatile it is. Definitely recommend for singles, couples, or small families!"

Nice Instant Pot With a Couple of Drawbacks
PROS: 1) Aesthetically pleasing appearance in my upgraded light kitchen, much prettier than my other black and stainless Instant Pots. Even the panel is mostly white. Color is a soft white or very light off white, not stark white which I was hoping for. 2) Much quieter than my other 3 and 6 quart Instant Pots. No loud obnoxious beeps. 3) The release button is on the front of the lid rather than next to the pressure release spout making it much much safer to use. 4) The glass lid from my 6 quart Instant Pot unit fits this container so they are interchangeable. A huge plus since the unit doesn’t come with a cover for refrigeration. 5) I love the wider shorter bowl which makes it easier to cook and serve. 6) I like that it has both high and low temperature settings for Slow Cook unlike my 3 quart Instant Pot. CONS: 1) Cord is cheap and flimsy, nothing like the more substantial 3 pronged cord on my other Instant Pot units. This was a huge downgrade. And it’s black, an eyesore on this otherwise very pretty unit. Should have used a better quality white cord. I’m purchasing a sleeve for it. 2) Electric Cord is not detachable like with my other Instant Pot units so you can’t replace it in case you want something longer or shorter or better quality or just want to remove it for storage. 3) You can’t purchase additional replacement containers in this size and shape which I was able to do with my other Instant Pot units. Hopefully they’ll eventually manufacture them. But in the meantime the one container is all I have. 4) The Pressure Cook/Steam/ settings have only one temperature unlike my other stainless Instant Pot units which had both low and high options. I consider this a rather significant downgrade. After using it several times and judging by how long it takes to heat up, cook, and depressurize the temp seems to be high. Disappointing as I always used the low temp setting before. Overall I like the RIO except for the cord and that I can’t buy extra containers. So far it’s working well. I’ve already made soup, pasta, and rice which came out perfect.

I purchased the Instant Pot recently, and it has genuinely improved my daily cooking routine. The multi-function options are very well-designed — pressure cooking, sautéing, slow cooking, and steaming all work flawlessly. Rice, biryani, dal, soups, and even boiled vegetables are cooked perfectly with consistent results. The stainless-steel inner pot is sturdy and easy to clean, unlike non-stick pots that wear out quickly. I also appreciate the safety features: lid lock, pressure release valve, and auto temperature control. The appliance feels premium, user-friendly, and energy-efficient. Overall, the Instant Pot is a reliable, time-saving kitchen appliance, especially for busy households. Totally worth the purchase.

The product was too heavy compared to my 6qt IP, can I return this?

The build quality is robust, and the stainless steel cooking pot is a breeze to clean. Overall, the Instant Pot Rio has become an indispensable tool in my kitchen, making home-cooked meals convenient and enjoyable.
