Excellent brace that provides the best ankle support
This product is excellent. I would go as far as to say, for me, life changing! I have a chronically unstable ankle, having severely damaged several ligaments, including the syndesmotic ligament. I am on a waiting list for surgery and was really struggling. The ankle support has made an enormous difference. It provides excellent support, enabling me to walk pretty much as normal. The laces make it easily adjustable and it is comfortable, so that I can wear it all day and all night. Obviously I still have to be careful with my injury and sensible about what I do, but the support has meant I am able to get around without a crutch and the pain I was experiencing on my opposite knee and hip from compensating when walking has eased significantly. It fits into trainers well, but is a little too bulky for my normal work shoes because of the cross straps. But the benefit of the extra support provided by the cross straps outweighs any negatives for me. I just wear different shoes that accommodate the brace and it isn't visible under my trousers. I can't recommend enough.

Effective, simple, and comfortable
A few things concerned me from the pictures and reviews before I finally decided to just buy and try it. I sprained my ankle pretty badly and wanted to give it it’s best chance to heal properly and also get back to work asap (I work 12 hour shifts in a nursing home so am on my feet for almost that entire time). My first concern was that people said it was too complicated, fiddly, and too time consuming when putting it on. I will summarise my experience by saying that if you have ever put on a lace up boot or roller skate, you can put this on too. I pull the laces all the way out of the top hole, then just loosen the rest to get it on or off. Then just tighten the laces as normal. The straps simply wrap from the back, one round the right, the other round the left. Doing one at a time bring it to the front, cross over the top. your foot, wrap down around the underside of your foot and velcro up beside your ankle... then repeat with the other strap, crossing it over the first strap on top of your foot. I have loosely timed myself putting this on and it takes under one minute. My next concern was that it was flimsy and didn’t offer much support. Basically, wearing this offers an amount of support that means the difference between pain when not wearing it and no pain when I do. It is definitely supportive and stabilising through if you want something that allows zero movement this is not for you and to be honest, needing that degree of support probably means you have more than a severe sprain anyway. Looking at how much fabric goes beneath the foot I was concerned about it causing pain under my foot if I walked on it for long. This has not proven to be the case at all, even after consecutive 12 hour shifts. It might be too bulky for your shoes however. In anticipation of this, I ordered some black trainers to wear for work instead of my snug leather slip on safety shoes. Works perfectly... I just can’t lace the one with the brace up quite as closely as the normal one. The fabric is okay. Not amazing but not rubbish either. I sleep in it with no discomfort. I tried a night without it as I am giving my ankle a break during the day when at home and on the night I was without it, I woke myself yelping with pain as I turned myself over in bed... showing me it is doing it’s job. I could not have returned to work by now without this and it has been worth it’s weight in gold to me. Do your research on what type of support or brace would be best for your individual ankle issue and if it seems a lace up brace is the way to go, you won’t go far wrong with this one

Good solid brace - takes a while to get into and out of, but that's because the support is so good!
I have a very, very unstable ankle and it needs support all the time. I have completely rigid splints that I can wear some of the time but for moving about a bit more I needed something a bit more flexible. I've tried lots of other ankle supports but even the toughest ones didn't provide enough support. This one, on the other hand, can be tightened as much as you can bear thanks to the laces, and the straps that go around the foot provide more stability. It's certainly the most stable ankle brace I've ever had (aside from those which are completely fixed and don't allow any movement at all). The only things I don't like are that it's not comfortable in all of my shoes, and it takes quite a while to get into and out of it because it's quite fiddly. However, these things are not that important to me because I'm more interested in having a really good product which holds my ankle up. I would definitely recommend it - I was starting to think that I'd never find something that would be good enough and even though I can still roll my ankle a bit in it, it gives me the time to notice it before I get too injured.

Great ankle support, but for me, these aren't great for running or playing football.
I've used these for a couple of months. I play 5-a-side football every week and have worn these while playing to protect an unstable ankle. Positives: - These definitely feel stable, the two big velcro straps work wonders in securing my ankle. If I try to simulate twisting my ankle the first point of resistance is the velcro strap, so I feel confident in the brace's ability to protect my ankle - The laces, while fiddly and tedious to undo (especially when trying to take the brace off) allow for a comfortable fit on the foot Negatives: - While these are advertised to worn while playing a sport, I would not recommend these for running or playing football, I've taken two stars off the rating for this reason. The two big straps that are wrapped under your foot cause your foot to take an unnatural position in your shoe. This puts undue stress on your knee ligaments which have to do more work to help you stay balanced while running, especially in situations when you're playing 5-a-side and constantly changing direction. So yes you end up protecting your ankle, but at the cost of your knees.

Good solid Brace
I damaged my anchilles tendon and I also suffer from the dreaded plantar fasciitis in both feet. My anchilles tendon was not healing as I am on my feet all day with my job so I got this to try and help limit its movement to improve healing. At first I was sceptical I could wear this in a shoe but you actually can, you can adjust the tightness with the laces and straps and it really does provide good support for the joint I found. Whilst my tendon is still painful it is nowhere near as painful as when I have only work a wrap and it ment I've no longer being limping home from work. Over time now whilst using it the tendon is getting less painful so I think it is doing a good job. Can be a bit hard to get in and off in a hurry but that's a small sacrifice for the stability and pain relief it has offered me.

Difficult to use.
Sorry to have to leave the only one star review (so far) but it took me nearly 20 minutes to put it on. I guess that time would speed up with practice but it would still be far too long. I knew when I ordered it that it was a lace-up design but I thought that it would be like wearing a lace-up shoe where you simply pull the laces apart to get your foot in and then pull the laces tight before tying them. Oh no, it's not like that. You have to undo the laces all the way from top to bottom to get your foot in and then tighten them all the way from bottom to top before fastening. Perhaps young and flexible people could manage that easier than me, but at my age I can't bend down that far for that long. Perhaps it provides good support once it's fitted but I didn't get a chance to find out. I immediately removed it for return to Amazon and even that took about 10 minutes. I've ordered a brace that fastens with Velcro in the hope that it's easier to use. Fingers crossed!

Brilliant support, very well made
Suffered a bad ankle sprain some weeks back and was given a special boot & crutches from the hospital. But the bulky 'boot' didn't really support my ankle at the points I thought it should have so after researching various options, decided to buy this MEDIZED ankle stabilizer brace. Best decision ever! This is superbly well made, great attention to detail and in my opinion very affordable for such high quality. I noticed from other reviews that the lacing system wasn't favoured much and thought of as time-consuming, but to me this is the exact good point of this ankle brace. With only velcro straps you wouldn't get such specific support. I guess I've laced up enough many ice-skates to not be at all bothered about this lacing system. To be able to tighten the brace at the exact points needed makes this design way superior. The designers of this one clearly know what's needed. The velcro straps that then wrap around on both sides give additional support, which is also good for my particular injury. All types of shoes might not fit you while wearing this brace, but I happen to have ankle high Muck Boots that I use for dog walking and they have the right amount of stretch that allow me to wear them over this ankle brace. You'd also be fine with trainers. I couldn't be happier to get rid of the bulky hospital 'boot' and to walk without pain much earlier than I would have, if I hadn't bought this ankle brace.

poorly made
The product works but I’m afraid it will break, the plastic it’s made from is cheap and has excess plastic on the edges. The fit is fine it’s just not what was shown in the photos, just a lower quality version of the product

Comoda e Resistente.
BE

Misión cumplida
sujetan muy bien, cumple su función y a ayudado a curar un esguince, algo engorroso por tener que dedicarle tiempo a atar los cordones etc, pero merece la pena por la sujeción que da, no es incomodo y no hace daño

Comfortable & sturdy, very durable.
I didn't want to write a review until I had used it for a while. This brace fits comfortably and offers good support. I have a permanent foot injury and must wear a brace all day, every day. This one works very well. I like that the lace-up style allows me to customize the fit to my ankle in a way speed laces make more difficult. Also the figure 8 straps are quite heavy and seem likely to last longer than those on the brace I had previously (those were thinner material and wore through in a few months.) I do find it helpful to wear a thin sock underneath it: I cut out the toe of the sock and hem it, then fold the top of the sock down over the brace to cover the Velcro. This prevents the Velcro from snagging hose on my other leg. I only have to use the sock when not wearing long pants, since long pants have the same effect. 8 months of wearing this brace every day, all day. It’s finally starting to wear out, but is still usable. I’m very impressed at how well it has functioned all this time! Ordering another one just like it to have on hand when this one finally gives out!

Calcio
