What great value! They aren't the most stylish or first ...
what can I say about these boots!! What great value! They aren't the most stylish or first boot you'd think to buy when walking or doing horse duty. But after so many years of buying wife various horse-yard boots and them failing so quickly for one reason or other I persuaded her to try a wellie. She has had wellies before and never objected and loved some of the other versions of those we purchased but again, they just don't last 6 months, a year max! When you are buying footwear Β£45 - Β£150+ every 6 months to year it gets a bit tiresome and frustrating for wife or me to be looking for new footwear again and again. I purchased a very thick well known branded boot but my use it occasional compared to the wife who uses hers for horse yard duty, dog walking and even when we trek out walking as she does not like the Military boots I provided her. So, we looked at the reviews and I decided that if these last 3 months it would still work out cheaper than the alternatives we have been buying. 6 months on and still going strong so that has won we me over already. But, she says they fit well for her standard sized 5 foot, not too wide not too narrow, spacious but well fitting. She wears thick socks and they are very comfortable to wear with the boots. With thin 'office socks' they still fit and do not slip so much to cause rub or boot drag. The calf fits my wife well, with space to fit wrapped clothing like your trousers can when wrapping them around your calf to slip into the boot. They are not tight boots. They remain warm with the right socks on according to her and are comfortable in the sole and heel. Waterproof obviously and that is the major factor. Time will tell how the joins and material lasts but with the rubber being soft and pliable but clearly hard wearing still is what offers its fabulous comfort, long lasting attributes. Why not, Dunlop have been experts in rubber for such a long time and always provide good footwear, even their budget value wellies carry the same reputation.

The Fit!
As other reviewers, I refuse to spend silly amounts on trendy wellies as they just do not last. I average 6 months before they split, so I always set myself a budget of Β£15! These were just within budget. They are super comfortable, fit my usual size 5, with 2 pairs of short socks, and an insole. I thought they looked and felt a bit heavy, but once the are on they feel great and look quite stylish. The rubber feels quite soft and pliable so I am hopeful that they will last longer than my previous garden centre purchase (4 months!). The important thing most ladies will want to know is that they are a nice fit around my calves, which are 40cm at the fattest point and measured over my two winter layers of leggings and thermals. There is a finger sized gap around the top, which is perfect if you want to add long socks, but not too much so that they don't flap about and let too much straw in when mucking out! I have yet to test the durability as only just purchased but will update - hopefully not too soon. Well, its now May and they are still good! Super comfy and no sign of splits or leaks. Great value for money, upgraded my rating to 5 stars. Update (end May) - spoke too soon. When delivered, I was concerned that the boots were dented at the toes, they were just loose packaged in a plastic bag. The dents had to be very gently warmed to pop them out and the boots have now cracked and split in those areas. No problem with the boots, just the damage caused while in transit.

Worth the money
These wellingtons are worth the money, not a fashion statement but, comfortable for walking the dog and a definite plus, to have dry feet π

Tough wellies
Brilliant wellies, I have had this type before and they last much longer than the much more expensive ones.

Great quality for a great price
These have been some of the best wellies I've bought. I have worn them through 5 day music festivals in the pouring rain and thick mud, and not a single time have they leaked. They keep your feet warm well and I can't say how good the grip have been in these even down hills of flowing water over mud.
