I got this for my boyfriend and he loves it. I gave him a lot of small trinkets and he almost lost one while cleaning. So this became a safe place for him to put those trinkets.We painted the lid together after being inspired by another review who painted the lid. It looks really pretty and gives it its own personal touch. The box is sturdy and the lock is secure. The only thing is that the lock can be a little hard to open and I have to put a little more “oomph” into it. But that’s more of a good thing because you don’t want a flimsy lock. There’s plenty of space inside for small trinkets but don’t expect to fit something huge inside.

This was so pretty in person and such a great gift that gave she loved it .

So beautiful! I got this to have as a keepsake and it holds a lot! I loved that it came with roses inside and the art on the box is amazing and helped make the keepsake more meaningful. The box itself is very durable.

For the cost it made a nice gift. To dress it up a little I put some peel and stick felt on the inside and added so silicone corner protectors on the bottom, to keep it from scratching the table.

I bought this for a grad school grad gift. Iy had to be perfect and it was. Wonderful quality and beautiful finish.

There are so many things wrong with this.First, all the pieces of hardware except the bottom part of the clasp were loose.Second, one of the loose hinges allowed the screws to be pulled out, apparently when this was dropped in shipping. That then splintered the wood.Third, the fit of the lid and body of the box is marginal at best.Fourth, There are obvious sanding marks on the lid.Fifth, the laser etching of the design is poorly done.Sixth, there's no finish - no lacquer, no shellac, no urethane, no oil, nothing.Seventh, the packing was poor. The box was in a thin bubble-wrap back, which was then put into the cardboard box. The cardboard box was then put into a plastic shipping bag.Stay away from this product.UPDATEAmazon sent me a replacement, which was much better than the first one. The fit of the lid is good when it's latched, but slightly out of alignment when it's not; not a big deal The screws that hold the hinges in place are in more tightly, although not fully tight - that might just be an issue with the wood. Regardless, they're in good enough that the hinges don't slide around. I may use a little drop of something on the screws to make sure they don't loosen.One thing to point out is that the box does _NOT_ have magnets in the body and lid. It's not a big deal as far as I'm concerned, but the listing should be amended to reflect that.I do think it would have been better if I'd chosen a more expensive box, but at least this one will serve its purpose.
