I got this toy for myself. I think playing around with science kits are a lot of fun. I wanted to learn something about optics and this allowed me to play with it. For kids, I know this would be a blast... I think working through the labs and working out the problems in the book would be a lot of fun. I could nitpick a bit about the plastic parts and some parts not aligning quite right, but for the level that is necessary to make the kit work, it is more that satisfactory and I had a lot of fun. Comes with the laser beams, the "F" light, and the 3 color LEDs... watching the colors blend together was very cool. Absolutely, have fun!

If you know a bit of optics, and can show it or explain it to your kid - it is a great thing to have! Refraction, focusing, imaging, color mix - easy to use and very vivid.

The box was already opened and pieces looked scuffed up.

I like the kit and my daughter did too. She asks a lot of questions about stuff, so I figured why not show her. The only issue I had was the prism being cracked and a piece chipped off somewhere between production and when I got it. The prism was the only thing in bubble wrap, yet the only thing that was broken. I would recommend not letting your child open it without a proper inspection first. The prism wasn’t sharp, but certainly could’ve been.

Barely usable, only had one or two items that actually worked well.

We got it for our grandkids for Christmas and they love it! Science is a big deal to them and this was a perfect gift for them!

simple yet useful as a teaching tool

I'm so freaking excited about this Teenii Optics Science Kit About Light Experiments for Kids! My four-year-old grandson and my favorites color-wise is rainbow. And I'm sure that this STEM Physics Lab Set will include us making a rainbow, 🌈, since it has that on the cover plus it has a bunch of experiments and activities and objects for us to use to make and do those experiments. Right down to an itty bitty teeny tiny screw and a set of two batteries yippee! when they include batteries I want to give them 10,000 points because when they don't it is such a hassle,! Looking at everything included I can tell this will be excellent for Students in homeschool or maybe even for a Science Fair at a brick and mortar school. Check out my photos for lists of everything. Education Toys rock! Light and optics are awesome to learn about...I bet I'll be able to incorporate some art too. With its reusable and cooly decorated cardboard case , this would be a great Brithday or holiday Gift for Boys or Girls Age 8~16 Years Old especially. Though I know I'll also enjoy doing the experiments with my four year old grandson and I would have enjoyed doing them with my mom before she passed

Construction is on the cheap side, but it is good enough for the kind of experiments that can be conducted using this kit. Most optic parts are made of plastic, except for the prism which is made of glass. I remember most labs I did in college during the optic science course, most of them can be reproduced at home with this kit. Only 15 basic experiments are included, but more variation can be made. They even included a small empty lens that can be filled with water to see the difference in diffraction between air and water. The instructions are clear, there are 11 chapters and many have variation in the experiments, so you can experiment many things in a singe instruction sets. Following the instructions, a more detailed explanation is given with more technical aspects for the curious kids. That makes the experiment cool for both the impatient and the more intellectual kids. Overall, this is a nice kit for the young scientific.

This is a great kit to explore optics. My kit was obviously used and had some missing, damaged and dirty parts. There are some things that don't seem to work right, but I'm unsure whether that's due to damage or product quality. I recommend the set and hope you get one that's complete and in good working order!

Prior to the time this topic is covered in school, this would provide and excellent introduction to the subject and, in a home environment, can be done in a playful manner. What a great way to discover and gain an interest. The experiments are presented clearly. Using the apparatus is easy. While the components in the kit are not going to be confused with laboratory-grade instruments, they are adequate to make the necessary points. While one could compile their own items to do the same thing, by the time that's finished, I likely wouldn't have saved much money but it would have taken a lot of time. The convenience and Amazon shipping make it worth considering. Recommended accordingly.

When I opened the box, it was clear that this product was used/returned. Theoretically it works, but the triangle shape was broken. There was another piece (hollow semi circle shape) that had several scratches on it. There was no water tank included، the included lenses were made of cheap plastic and not glass/mirror
