Auto Start Stop Engine System Canceler Eliminator Device Cable Automatic A Off Delete/Disable/Cancel Start Stop Function Compatible with Subaru Forester 5th Gen 2019-ON

It works perfect for my 2020 Forester Sport! Installed in 1 minute. It keeps my auto stop/start off upon startup. I can still turn in back on if needed.

Only took a few minutes to install. Didn't need to pry tool, just went in through the fuse area as shown on Youtube. So nice to not have to remember to hit the A button everytime I start the car, and I'm sure will result in less wear and tear on the starter and battery.

This was the perfect solution to latching the stop/start mode to on or off on startup at the push of the "A" button. Took 5 minutes, after seeing videos available (youtube "Auto Start Stop Eliminator" by Matthew Heiskell). It has no fuse tap to deal with like some other models.Note: in order to make ends of adapter more flexible, easier to bend and to reduce wire strain, I removed excessive wraps of the black tape on both ends of adapter. You could use the removed tape around module body to protect it, but I used a wide piece of fiberglass tape I had.Procedure for 2023 Forester (some other years/models may differ):Put a pillow or pad over door sill to protect yourself, while laying on side.Remove fuse door by popping off and shine a flashlight up into panel hole.Using long nose plier end, push up locking tab of white connector in "A" switch, while pushing connector out of switch.Push white connector of adapter into now empty socket of A switch, until it latches.Connect the removed white connector into grey connector of adapter, until it latches.Push body of module into void on left.Replace fuse door.Enjoy latched default mode of "A" being on or off at a push of button!

This works great on my 2024 Subaru Forester. A simple install. All you need to do is unplug the lead connecting to the off / on start button that’s located in fuse box door and add the wire you purchased between the on off button and the wire you just unplugged. After the install it’s one less annoyance you will have. Well you still have the seat belt buzzer that is just as annoying but there’s a fix for that too. Check out both videos on you tube to see a visual.Oh and for some reason if you want to use your stop engine button again you can just press it and it will work like it came from the factory.But I doubt you will miss that and like me never touch it again.

It works upon starting the vehicle. No need to push the button everytime.

Purchased a used 2019 Forester. Love the vehicle, absolutely hate the Start Stop engine system. The unit was easy to install, and it worked to cancel this system. However, it doesn't allow me to restore this function at all - which is just fine with me.

This product worked as advertised. About 3 seconds after starting your car, the yellow (A) appears on the driver HUD if you had the button pushed before. If you allow auto-start-stop again, it properly remembers that setting too.Installation was straightforward EXCEPT for pulling the plug out of the back of the (A) button. There is a clip keeping the button in place, which you can see clearly if you put your head directly under the button and look up. A tiny screwdriver (or in my case a pen) was able to push in the plastic clip to allow the button plug to be pulled out.If you search YouTube for "uY3TorwtmBA" you will find the video I followed to install. Very simple except for that tricky button.

I was about to sell my car just to get one that didn't have the insane, useless and dangerous auto-shutoff feature (dangerous because the 1-2 second delay can mean the difference between life and death if you need to quickly accelerate from a stop to avoid a traffic collision).This device WORKS. Had to take the side panel off then the switch panel off. Instructions can be seen on youtube. Very easy only 2 minutes. Then very easy to pull the switch lever back to remove the wiring plug. Easy to insert the eliminator. Works great on my 2019 XV-S.

2019 Forester was not restarting after the auto on/off feature turned the car off at red lights. Obviously this is a problem. The car was still under warranty and the dealer wanted $100 just to "look at it". Bought this for less than half that price and installed it in <1 minute; in the 2019 Forester you just need to open the fuse door and connect the device. Couldn't be easier.
