Very good headphones for the price.
For the price these are excellent headphones and a worthy candidate for "daily driver." For me, these are computer/desk headphones. That is my use and that is probably how you should plan on using them as well. The cushions are very soft but the fit itself is on the firm side. Because the cushions are soft, they are nice and comfortable. Because the cushions are soft I'd be hesitant about getting too much sweat in them at the gym. They won't fall off-- that's not the issue-- but I'm guessing you don't want to get the cushions wet. Are they durable? They sit at my desk. I thought about stuffing them in a "getting too full" backpack for a flight recently and I declined to do so. If you are really going to be putting them into very full bags maybe see if you can handle a pair in the store before making a decision. On the desk? As long as you aren't yanking these things off you should be fine. Sound review? This is hard because there is so much that goes into it. I'll give it a shot. I can't talk about leakage because I'm not usually around people when these are on. There is no noise cancelling but the fit and the pads do an okay job of getting rid of a lot of background noise. These replaced some Koss Porta-Pros and some old Sol headphones as my main laptop headphones. (That's where I do most of my work.) So yes, I'm running off a laptop. No fancy power sources. They can get nice and loud and not bring in any distortion. That's good. I guess these are probably "somewhat warm" sounding headphones. I listen to some vaporwave and a lot of metal (black/thrash and such) so I think I cover the need to hear all levels and ranges of sound and don't have a need to focus on one aspect over the other but I guess the elephant in the room is always bass? It handles bass pretty well. It isn't an overly aggressive bass sound but you can hear it nicely and distinctly. There is some punch to the bass but, to be sure, it isn't at the level of beats headphones (and I like beats, but they are also a lot more money). Listening to some of the raw metal recordings, the bass is nice and it handles the distortion and rawness of metal tracks very well. So, the bass is good to the extent that the headphones generally maintain a consistent and clear sound-profile. And there is clearly more bass than more clear or neutral sounding headphones. It isn't necessarily a bass heavy headphone but it is definitely bass capable. I can make the volume louder or softer without introducing any more distortion and I don't have to listen to it loudly to "hear" the music. These are very good headphones for the price. The four stars is because the headphone market is brutal and these are four star headphones, especially for the price. They are not magic value headphones that you would/could pay +$150 for, or something like that. That is, in my mind, going in to five star territory. For the price you will probably pay for these on this site, you are getting a really great pair of daily drivers and they are easy to recommend. I'm considering getting the (a) blue-tooth version of these.

Excellent wired headphones
I originally bought a pair of these 7 or 8 years ago and loved that pair, then replaced it when the ear covers were worrn and the replacement was also great. Now, I bought another to replace the one that now has worn out ear covers. The sound quality is excellent and I don't worry about pairing since it is corded. The headset is lightweight and very comfortable. I use this when travelling on planes and clearly can hear music without being annoyed by other sounds. I wouldn't call it noise cancelling as much as noise buffering. It is much less and you don't focus on external noises, but you can still hear them very softly. The ear covers will wear over 3 years, but the sound quality is still great! Excellent headphones for the price.

Love these the most
These are seriously the best on ear headphones. They are so flipping comfortable. I also like that they don’t completely surround my eat(that gets hot hot) and I can still hear(slightly) the world around me. They are light weight, love the color options and the price can’t be beat. Plus the sound gets super loud and doesn’t crack out. Tbh they break before they go bad but that’s because I use them constantly. And I keep buying them because I love the sound quality.

Great Sound and Focus for Young Athletes
I purchased the Skullcandy Riff On-Ear Wired Headphones for my 10-year-old son, who needed a reliable pair of headphones to help him focus on game days. These have been a fantastic solution for cutting through the noise and distractions from teammates and the competition. Pros: - Good Sound Quality: The audio is crisp and clear, making it easy for my son to immerse himself in his pre-game routine. - Comfortable for Kids: Despite being on-ear, my son hasn’t complained about discomfort, even after wearing them for long periods of time. - Durable Build: The headphones feel sturdy and have held up well under regular use by an active 10-year-old. - Weight and Stylish: They’re lightweight and easy to carry, plus the design is sleek enough that my son loves wearing them. Con: - Flat Over-Ear Fit: The on-ear design sits flat against the ears. While my son hasn’t had any issues with discomfort, this could potentially bother users who are more sensitive to pressure over long periods. Overall, the Skullcandy Riff headphones deliver excellent quality at a reasonable price. They’ve been a hit with my son, helping him stay focused and confident on game days. If you’re looking for a reliable and stylish pair of headphones for kids, these are a great choice.

dont get anything else this is perfect, in fact buy two
Here’s a review of Skullcandy **wired headphones** (over-ear or on-ear style), focusing on durability (lasting 3+ years), excellent sound profile, and best bang for your buck under \$20: --- I got a pair of Skullcandy wired headphones a little over three years ago, paid less than \$20, and they’re still going strong. For something so cheap, they’ve held up way better than I expected. The headband spring is still tight, the ear pads haven’t completely flattened (though they softened a bit), the hinges haven’t broken, and the cable jack still works in both ears. If you treat them right—don’t wrap the cord too tight, avoid yanking the plug, keep them clean—they can easily go beyond three years of regular use. Sound wise, they punch way above their price. The bass is warm and solid—not overpowering, but giving songs a fullness you don’t expect at this cost. Mids (vocals and guitars) are decent: you lose some polish compared to high-end models, but voices come through clear enough, even in busy tracks. The highs are honest—if not super crisp—but they add enough brightness that things don’t sound dull. They isolate reasonably well thanks to the ear pads; outside noise gets reduced a lot, so you can enjoy music or podcasts in noisy places. What makes them an excellent bang for the buck: durability + sound + price. For under \$20, you get decent build materials, components that don’t fail quickly, and a sound profile that’s fun and usable. You’re not getting luxury leather or Bluetooth, but you do get actual wired reliability, no batteries to die, and fewer parts to fail. Compared with ultra-cheap models I’ve tried, these Skullcandy headphones still sound better and last longer. If you want wired headphones that won’t break down after a few months, and still give you good sound quality without spending much, these Skullcandy wired headphones are a smart pick. Not perfect, but you get way more than you pay for.

Not what I expected from this brand
Honestly, I thought for a name brand, I would get something sturdier than I did. The fabric inside the headphones that hid the foam from view immediately started to displace and bunch up after a month. When one of the foam pieces just popped off entirely. i took out the bunched up material and was dealing with just having to look at the ugly foam all the time. But once that earpiece came off, it started coming off all the time. And it was so frustrating to have to stop and fix it before a run or a work session. Over time (mind you, less than a year), the volume buttons stopped working correctly, the wire on the top started to work its way out, and then today, 10 months after purchase, I dropped them from about 3 feet onto carpet and they snapped in half. Disappointed in the lack of durability in a big way. Won't be buying Skull Candy again.
