Strong cleaner that delivers real results with minimal effort
This cleaner works extremely well. I used the HG Heavy Duty Tile & Grout Cleaner on bathroom grout with heavy buildup, and it noticeably brightened the grout after just one use. It’s very powerful, so only a small amount is needed, and it lifts dirt quickly with minimal scrubbing. The scent is strong, but that’s expected for a heavy-duty product. With proper ventilation, it’s easy to use and delivers excellent results. Great choice for deep cleaning tile and grout that need a serious refresh.

We’re very pleased with the results!
My wife and I have used various HG cleaning products over the years and have found that each of them did a great job. Therefore, when I found out that HG did a floor tile cleaner I didn’t hesitate to buy a bottle. I purchased the 1 litre carton and, on receiving was pleased to find that it had been sensibly packaged and sealed to prevent any spillages. The product is easy to use: just dissolve half a litre of the cleaning fluid in a bucket containing 5 litre of lukewarm water. I applied the mixture to our kitchen floor using a mop, then used a long-handled scrubbing brush to work it into our ‘grainy’ tiles. I left the solution on the surface for a few minutes, then went back to work with the scrubber. Afterwards I removed the solution using a mop and a bucket of fresh water - did this a couple of times. Overall, we’re more than happy with how this product cleaned our tiles. 👍

1 litre goes a long way
Seems good, easy to apply, nice matt finish. Time will tell how well it has sealed the tiles.

CAUTION! Please read all my review
This product was amazing and did exactly what it promises to do (again, I'm an idiot and can't upload photos) but believe me when I say it brought the scummiest bathroom grout which I thought was a browny grey back to actual black!! Even the tiles look new!! My only warning is the bottle. I decanted my first batch into a spray bottle so I could use it near, when I ran out I tried to open the child locked cap to decant more but I couldn't open it. Every time I tried to push the lid down to unscrew it, the bottle bent and after much fuss I eventually had to cut the bottle open to get the rest. This is not ideal as it's now in a bottle that isn't the original and while it's totally safe in my home it may not be safe in others. So beware! Also, it burned my skin. I wore gloves and somehow got a hole in the finger so just took them off. And although I washed my hands afterwards, thoroughly, it kept slowly burning my skin to the point of small blisters appearing and I had to get treatment at the local health centre. This is just my experience of using this product.

Good but energy sapping!
I've been using this product for a while and it is excellent at getting my kitchen floor tiles clean. It transforms them especially when the grand children/cat have come in and out of the garden. But it's v hard work! Some tips: if your floor isn't too dreadfully filthy then use half the amount of the cleaning fluid. This saves money and helps with the rinsing process which can be long and laborious. I find going over the floor with a clean dry micro porous cloth at the end helps to mop up any remaining foam and means you don't get white streaks. When you've finished treat yourself to a nice drink and a large piece of cake!

Doubtful, but did the job spectacularly well!
I have a Mexican hand made 'Saltillo' Terracotta Tile floor in my old cottage kitchen. It's been down for about 20 years and to be honest, I have neglected it a lot over this time. As we've just revamped the kitchen I decided it was time to give the floor some much needed TLC. It was dirty, grimy, and had the occasional cat paw print in paint in a couple of places. This was a job I wasn't looking forward to at all. 😒 I diluted the cleaner into a handheld spray bottle and diluted it as indicated on the instructions. I decided to do the floor in 2 sq mtr sections for ease of arm stretching. I first sprayed the cleaner onto the tiles, and left to soak for around 15 minutes. I then went over each 300mm x 3000mm tile with a scouring pad attached to a cordless drill ( I bought these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07QV4DZ7J/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and have found them very useful ) After the first scrub with the drill based scouring pad, I then sprayed the surface with more cleaner as I found it was drying out slightly, and then left it approx 15 minutes further. I went over the are again with the scouring pad on the drill. The cleaner foamed up slightly with the foam being a dirty brown colour. I then washed off the cleaner a couple of times using a large sponge and clean cold water, and once the area was clean, I then dried it off with a large microfibre towel and left the are to dry completely. The tiles came up absolutely spotless, and I suspect the cleaner had also removed previous layers of polish and sealer in addition to the years of dirt. There was no harsh chemical smell that I could discern. I did wear latex gloves initially, but these weren't up to the job from the amount of effort I was putting in to scrubbing these tiles and got taken off. I did get the cleaner on my hands, and didn't notice any side effects apart from having the feeling of very clean skin when I finished. The tiles came up looking almost new; that could be the cleaner or the amount of effort I put into getting them clean - I suspect a combination of both. Would I buy this product again to clean Saltillo terracotta clay tiled floors? Yes, absolutely, and without any hesitation at all.
