Draft door was a perfect fit to replace my old screen draft door for my BGE. We’ll made and seems solid. Would have loved to have the silicone seal be part of the package.

I do a lot of smoking on my big green egg using electronic controls. This means sliding a fan unit into the grill to control temperatures. The original BGE screen cover was wearing out after a year without using the fan.Safety: I should have brought this a long time ago. My original BGE screen was pretty beat up. Even though the grill is on a concrete slap, ambers still escaped the BGE during cooking. This expense is so low, I was being foolish for not replacing it.KAMaster unit is perforated material vs a screen insert. The unit hasn't impacted my cooking results. I get sustained the same high temps of over 600 F and don't burn thru more coal at when low temp smoking.I've very hopeful the KAMaster cover will last; the thickness of the material is good and it doesn't not impede sliding a fan unit into the BGE. It's also a fraction of the cost of the BGE cover (over $50) so even it is last the same time, it will save you a lot of money.The install was really easy. At first I thought I had to remove the screws to get it installed but the metal was flexible enough it slide it past the stop. I didn't have another set of hands to get it off the nest so it was a risk trade off - break <$20 cover or >$1200 Egg. Best option it is remove the screws but I got away with it.

Excellent replacement for the stock Big Green Egg screen. The original one that came on the egg lasted a few years, but it is quite fragile. This one will last a life time because it has no thin mesh screen to wear out. The fit is perfect for the Large Big Green Egg, and the quality if the panel is beyond reproach. It slides right into place, it doesn't have any sharp edges or other manufacturing defects. This is a high quality replacement that is superior to the original, and it is at a very fair price.

The screen material on my 10 year old BGE burned through. I was prepared to replace the entire vent assembly until I came across this draft door. Camado, the seller delivered it very fast. If they are the designer I commend them for an excellent product! Much sturdier than the original and fits perfectly. Installation was simple. I rotated the body of the BGE to clear the nest supports on the right side of the BGE, slid off the old draft door cover and screen, popped in the new door and old cover and bingo! When your draft door screen burns out, and it will, replace with this!

The product is good quality and should last longer than the original mesh door. Installation is challenging though. The bolts are on the inside of the BGE, and requires lifting up the firebox. The firebox is pretty heavy and does not have anything to hold. I can't find any tool to grip the firebox either.

Good quality. I placed it on my Pit Barrel Cooker because I didn’t like the draft setup that can with the drum smoker. This vent fits over the existing hole and works much better more efficiently.

Perfect fit on my large BGE. Be sure to pick up some high temp silicone for the install.

This mesh panel is much better than the original. Slides right on easily. No need to buy the whole vent panel.
