For a full size tripod it is very light and easy to carry. It is very strong and stable, and it has so many options. It can hold up to 15kg in weight.- there is the option of having two cameras mounted on the tripod at one time, or a light and a camera. Whatever you need really- the BH-160 ball head works smoothly and will hold cameras up to 15kg, so it easily copes with any camera lens combo I would use- another feature I was very impressed with is that one leg can be removed and used as a carbon monopod for my sports photography- the 263CB can hold your camera in a huge number of different ways and you can have it pointing or sitting wherever you want to get that perfect picture- there is a QS-60 V2 quick release plate which is large enough to give you stable and solid connection between tripod and camera-it also arrives with a very good bag for the tripod which is padded and also has a pocket inside the bag for any other small items you need to carry- the twist and lock legs are so much quicker and smoother than other tripods I have used- the rubber feet can be swapped with sharper metal feet to avoid the tripod moving on slipper surfacesThe build quality of this tripod is amazing! It gives me every option I need when out with my camera. This is now my go to tripod, and I cannot see that changing for a long time.I have a number of Vanguard products, and they are all top quality, and their features just seem to have the edge on other brands. Everything just seems easier to use, or with extra features that you never thought of, but would never be without.I recommend this tripod 110%.

There were so many tripods to choose from and so many reviews. But to help your choice, If you need a reasonably priced tripod, built to a good quality then look no further than this. It’s multi purpose so can be adapted for so many styles of photography. It’s high for tall people. Light enough to carry. Comes with a monopod. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Unfortunately Amazon were unable to provide me with this item so I had to go buy it elsewhere. The tripod is great for macro photography which is why I bought it on recommendation from Mike Moats. Have used it a couple of times and find it and must say it has to be the best tripod I have had. I've used Manfrotto, Sirui but prefer this one.

‘Great piece of kit’I recently purchased the Vanguard VEO 3+ 263AB. I already have the Vanguard VEO 2S 265 CB Carbon Fibre Tripod and the Three Legged Thing Punks Travis Tripod which are excellent lighter weight tripods. The lightweight and compact 265 is the ideal companion for taking into the hills.However, I needed a more heavy duty tripod for shooting the windy and often wild coastlines of Scotland.I took it for a test drive yesterday, I wanted to ensure I shot somewhere exposed and windy to test the capabilities. I took it up a local hill, Kinpurnie Hill which stands alone and I expected would be breezy at the top.Whilst it is significantly heavier than my travel tripod, at just under 2.5 kgs, it didn’t feel to heavy a carry up to the top and it collapsed small enough to be carried on the side of my Vanguard Rise 48+ backpack.PerformanceI fully extended the tripod for the shots I wanted and the easy clean twist locks meant that the tripod could be easily adjusted in a matter of seconds.The ball head and quick release plate were easy to use and allowed me to transfer between landscape and portrait modes quickly.As the sun set, the wind got stronger and I took some longer exposure shots which remained pin sharp.Highly recommend this as an innovative, easy to use and multi functional tripod which is now one of the first pieces of kit in my bag for any trip.

I am an enthusiast photographer. I wrecked my tripod of 10 years. I came across this model after going through numerous reviews. And I was sold for the features it provides. There are numerous videos out there who did a good job reviewing it than I ever would.However, to summarize. You get a monopod, MAAC, extra adapter, metals end points to use instead of rubber legs. Everything of this tripod seems thought about and not an afterthought.This is a very sturdy tripod for the kind of photography I do namely, landscapes, portraits, macros.

Der Reihe nach ;+ Gewicht ca. 700g Leichter+ die Mittelsäule , erlaubt es ein Handy oder eine 2te Kamera anzubringen od. separat zu arbeiten+ die Teile sind zum Alta aus Alu , wie Hebel , Befestigungen ,+ die Arbeitshöhe , ich bin 1,78m u. muss die Mittelsäule nicht ausziehen+Standfestigkeit ohne den Querausleger+ Verarbeitung+ Bedienung+ kein Spiel in den Teilen ( da ist das Alta schon wackliger )+ Einbeinstativ intrigiert +mit der Mittelsäule kommt man sehr hoch hinaus+ Mondbilder mit Tele , kaum Verwackler drinDie Minusseite :- diese Gummifüße , wer sie abkriegt mit Hahnfett ( auf Silikonbasis ) einreiben von innenzum Alta sind diese intrigiert u. gehen nicht verloren , zumal diese kein 1/4 Zoll Gewinde haben- Das Packmaß ist größer , ca. 68cm- Querausleger kann mit einer 2-2,5 kg Ausrüstung das Stativ zum kippen bringen , Vorsicht ! Gegengewicht erfordert- Die weiße Schrift geht schon ab

Versatile features, High quality and well made. One of the highest quality tripods I have tried quickly. Unfortunately too heavy (aluminum version) and not super sturdy for what I was looking for. I finally chose Rollei rock solid beta when I had a good deal elsewhere, sturdy, carbon legs but little less quality.

A wonderful product designed to create nice overhead shots, among other things, with the centre column well balanced in extended horizontal position. And the matte finish is beautiful giving it a rich feel.
