Great Power Supply at a great price!
After having a new MSI ATX3.1 power supply blow and take out have my components I decided to try this Red Dragon power supply and I have to say I am beyond impressed. The build quality is excellent and at first I thought the ARGB fan was just a gimmick, but it comes through on the back of my daughters Lian Li 011D case and looks awesome. Also Red Dragon includes a power supply tester and MSI does not, which would have been nice to have. The cables are not the highest quality I have ever seen, they are good and work just fine though. Overall this power supply compares very well to my Corsair RM1000x. While the Corsair has better cables, both power supplies generally are very close on all other features. Both use Japanese CAPs, both are quiet and considering the Red Dragon power supply was considerably cheaper I would have to lean towards the Red Dragon if I ever need another power supply. Really, you can't go wrong with this power supply.

As Expected
Works as expected, no issues, easy/normal installation. It can be a little bit more difficult than normal to turn it on/off without looking due to the button (which i think is for the leds or fan or something). It's been running for about a year. It does make a distinct but not disturbing fan noise when the fan cycles on and off, but I think it's smart about it and doesn't seem to trigger except under long term stress. I don't notice the noise when using headphones.

10/10 budget, reliable PSU. Reddragon does it again!!
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFor: Budget-conscious builders seeking efficiency, quiet operation, and modular cablesAgainst: Limited brand reputation, higher noise levels under heavy load, potentially tight cable managementPerformance: 4.5 out of 5 starsThe Redragon PSU007 packs a potent punch for its price. Its 850W output makes it suitable for even demanding gaming and workstation builds. The 80+ Gold certification ensures high efficiency, translating to lower power bills and less heat generation. In everyday use, it runs whisper-quiet, remaining near-silent under moderate loads. However, push it hard with a hefty power draw, and the fan noise can become noticeable, though still within acceptable limits.Features: 4 out of 5 starsThis PSU ticks all the essential boxes. It's fully modular, allowing you to use only the cables you need, improving airflow and aesthetics inside your case. Japanese capacitors and various circuit protections promise long-term reliability and component safety. It also boasts RGB lighting, though its implementation might be considered basic compared to flashier alternatives.Value: 5 out of 5 starsThis is where the PSU007 truly shines. Compared to established brands offering similar specs, the Redragon undercuts the price significantly. For budget-conscious builders seeking a reliable and efficient power supply, it's a hard bargain to beat.Things to Consider:Brand Reputation: Redragon is a relatively new name in the PSU market, so some users might prefer sticking with established brands for peace of mind.Noise Levels: While quiet under moderate loads, the fan noise becomes noticeable under heavy workloads, which might be a concern for noise-sensitive users.Cable Management: The modular cables are handy, but the included ones might be slightly short for spacious cases, potentially requiring extra care during installation.Final Verdict:The Redragon PSU007 850W Gold is a compelling option for budget-minded builders seeking a reliable and efficient power supply. Its quiet operation, modular cables, and 80+ Gold certification offer fantastic value for the price. While the limited brand reputation, potential increase in noise under heavy loads, and potentially short cables are minor drawbacks, they don't overshadow the overall strong performance and affordability. If you're on a tight budget and prioritize performance over brand recognition, the Redragon PSU007 is a Goldilocks-worthy choice, providing just the right power at a budget-friendly price, with just a few thorns to watch out for during installation and heavy workloads.Note:This review is based on my research and analysis of the Redragon PSU007 850W Gold. Good value, works well, powers 4070TI super really well
Solid psi so far for the value. I used it for a friends pc it’s running a 7800X3D, RTX 4070TI super, 6400Mhz ramm like 8 fans lol. Every runs smooth no heat issues and looks well in king 95 pro case. I did use a different cable for the graphics card.

Reliable, great value for dollar, great build
Insanely reliable.Ive had mine for a year and half now.I know its not rated on of those spreadsheets we pass around reddit and brand trolls will think its “the bomb has been planted”. However, inspected and tested the capacitors on these and they are not cheap or lazily made. The internals looks even better than my previous thermaltake psu. Its beyond a budget psu imo because this will take your dollar value for many years until you need to upgrade due to wattage demands as technology moves on. I have 2 of these PSUs now. One running a 4070ti super build and the other a 9070xt build as pictured. I highly recommend this PSU.

So Far So Good!
It works well for my pc thus far. I've been using it for a couple of months with no issues. I had to upgrade my power supply when I upgraded to a better graphics card & this power supply has been solid. If needed I'll gladly update this review.

Perfectly Adequate
I waited for Linus Tech Tips to test this unit for safety before offering a proper review. The value of this PSU puts it smack-dab in the middle of the PSU product stack and is an amazing deal for 850 watts when caught on sale. The Cables are thin and made of a material that feels durable but also cheap-- it also includes all cables for all sockets which some manufacturers do not do so kudos Red Dragon! The installation process is as easy as any other PSU but thanks to its shorter length, it's easier to connect new cables post-installation so you don't need to remove the unit in most cases. My hardware cannot stress this PSU enough to make it's fan spin up enough to say whether or not it has the dreaded coil whine some Red Dragon PSUs of the RGMS and RGPS lines tend to suffer from however. The power Supply overall is adequate with no major drawbacks or advantages over competition besides it's lower price and the fact it is from a PSU manufacturer that is considered questionable at best by most reviewers. I personally find no fault with this product.
