Its hard to find this oil filter locally. Easy to obtain here at amazon plus a great price.Its also a Fram Filter. Do you know that Fram is the leader in the filter industry. Ive worked in the industrial industry for 30 years. 7 years prior in the auto industry (yeah even R/R). In all of the machines that require filtering of oil, we use Fram. so go ahead and save 50 to 75 cents or even pay more for a pretty looking filter. Put your engine at risk. Not me.Thanks Fram. Changed oil and OEM (Deere) filter on my John Deere tractor with a Fram before storing it last winter. Was shocked to see floor of shed covered in 2 quarts of oil in the spring. Seemed to be from filter area so I replaced it with it with the second Fram filter from my order. Seemed fine for a few weeks, then started to leak again. I had saved the old Deere filter so compared the two types. The OEM Deere filter has a gasket twice as wide as the Fram. I believe that is the reason for the leak so have ordered a couple John Deere filters and will use them from now on. Just happy that (I think) that is the problem not something worse like a cracked engine.
