Inexpensive fix for Vehicle Ghost Touchscreen issue
I recently purchased a used 2019 GMC Acadia that came with the GMC Intellilink system with the 8 inch touch screen. A little while later, my screen started flipping out and also caused the small screen in the dash to also switch on its own. I noticed that when this was happening, there was a audio sound going off. Looking into this, it was the audio feedback sound for the touch screen. This led me to do more research and found that there is a well known issue with the touch panel on these displays having an issue called Ghost touches. Doesn't seem like there is a recall for it, but in many GM vehicle forums, this was a common thread. I actually found this thanks to a thread in the Acadia Owners forum which someone provided the part number and I found this.Originally, I just ordered the touch panel, It was about $30 on here, but after pulling out the old screen and seeing how well attached the touch panel is to the display, I opted to send it back and I ordered this product. Yeah it was a bit more, but I saved a lot of time not having to try and remove that panel.Once I got it, it took me about 25 minutes to remove the old screen, install this one, and have it all back together. I do need to note that I was already familiar with how to to to the screen, so that's why it was so quick. The first time I took it all apart, I probably spend 45-50 minutes getting to the screen. If you are having this problem, definitely look into this. Super happy with this and I feel it actually looks better than the screen that came with my vehicle.

50-50 Chance it Works
The media could not be loaded. Bad new from supplier. Can hear radio playing but no picture at all. Like all things Chinese, 50-50 if you get something that works. Check before you put everything back together.

Works Great!
I don't write reviews often but had to share this one. I have been trying to fix this ghosting issue for a while. I first tried to replace just the glass touch screen and that made is worse. I then looked for a OEM replacement for my truck and they don't have them in stock anywhere and the don't manufacture them anymore. I saw the reviews for a lot of similar screens and decided to go with this one. I have had it installed now for about 2 weeks and so far so good. The touchscreen works with no ghosting and the screen quality is much better then the original. I would recommend you try this product to fix that ghosting issue.

Same manufaturer as OEM
Purchased this item since my friend was having an issue with the original display screen. Very easy to install and upon removing the existing display, I discovered that it was the same brand as the one i purchased! When it was installed, it immediately powered on with no issues.

Works like a champ!
7/1/25: Still works great!4/29/24 (original review): I installed this LCD replacement in a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ. The 8" MyLink display screen had *ghost* changes and the small screen in the center of the dash cluster would randomly change, too. Because it seemed like a hassle, I did not want to change only the digitizer, so I opted to purchase the entire LCD display. Installation was 45 minutes and it was REALLY EASY. There are several videos regarding removing and replacing the screen -- watch a couple of videos and take your time. You'll need a couple of tools -- NYLON pry to remove the radio's trim piece, a small torx and socket (I can't remember the sizes.) So far, I have driven 1 hour and no more *ghost* changes, channel changes, dropped phone calls, etc. Again, my install was on a *2019* Silverado -- it's not a typo. The part description only goes to 2018, but fits my 2019. GREAT PRODUCT! If the product fails, I will change my review.

Didn’t work
The media could not be loaded. I just had it installed today and it is messing up worse than the one that was already in my truck. It blinks, the images are overlapping and when I touch it to change stations it won’t respond or do anything else. I paid to have it put in and I’m beyond my return or refund window. I’m now out the cost of the screen, charge for having it replaced, will have to pay for the OEM part that I will replace with now and the fee for installing that one. I should never have taken the chance to start with.
