The camera is extremely well packaged. It comes with all the leads to connect it up to your home network via PC, WiFi hub and LAN also a USB power supply. The camera needs to situated near a 240 volt outlet. I connected mine to the via 2.4 wifi and my LAN network. The connection is very straight forward providing you follow the instructions and download the app to your devices. I connected mine to my iPhone, iPad Air2, an android tablet and a laptop via wifi. I did notice a lag when connected via the 4G network but as you are not using the camera for FPV that is not important. On first connection the notification to update the firmware was given. Doing this improved the connection time. The colours and definition of the camera is excellent. It can also be used as a PC camera and It copes with light changes and a mix of bright sunshine and dark very well. The night time ability is very good as well. The camera also has a built in speaker and microphone that enables you to have 2 way or 1 way monitoring of sound. I particularly like the pan and tilt operation which is very smooth indeed and quiet in operation. You can record from the app by touching the camera icon at the bottom of the screen. Recordings are stored in the documents folder. You can also take a still, switch on/off the microphone and speaker and adjust the picture quality. You can also install an SD card to provide a continuous recording. I will be using this camera to observe my dog when we are away from the property but it could be used to monitor child minders, care workers, employees, etc.I 100% recommend this camera as an excellent buy.

**Update*********The company have been really great at dealing with my issues and have extended my warranty which gives me more faith in the quality of the build and I now have a replacement adapter. I should have mentioned actually how great the image quality is on the camera, especially for the price of it, both during the day and the night vision. It has two way communication capability and the range of panning is also great. I would recommend this camera if you require to look after pets or children, or if you'd like to make your home more secure.******I was really happy with this product. However, 3 days after we first plugged it in, the power plug died. I contacted the seller to let them know the camera wasn't working and they suggested it was the plug. I have some spares since it's just a USB adapter and right enough, that's what it was. I'm hesitant now as to how long the actual camera will last and how well made it really is.We got the camera as we have a puppy and wanted to make sure he was okay etc. when we were at work. It's great for that and the quality is really good. I was hoping I could view the camera through a browser on a pc/laptop but it doesn't seem to work. The app is good though but obviously uses a lot of data, not great if you don't have much through your plan.

Be aware that email notification is not possible (yet), but hopefully, the developers willconsider that feature request in the future software version.Updating the camera software is possible every time when a new software version comes out.Actually, email nofication would not be necessary if the 'phone Push notification' worked flawleslly, but I cannot say that.There are times when 'push notification' does and other times when it doesn't arrive at the phone, even though theMIPC/Settings/Accessory/Motion Detection sensitivity is 99%, which is very sensitive.The good thing is that even though the current software version doesn't notify you100% reliably when motion is detected, it reliably takes snapshots and record movies, which you can view later.I always had a video and snapshots of the recorded motion.An excellent feature is that when it records a video, the recording starts about 5 seconds earlier before the first tinymotion was detected. Other cameras generally have a flaw that they only start recording 1-2 seconds 'after' the motion was detected,and if the intruder moves out of the sight of the camera during that 1-2 seconds, there is no recording of him.This camera solves that problem nicely.

This is second Maisi I’ve bought - first one had no problems with. With this one have experienced regular network connection issues. Constantly have to restart or reset back to factory settings. There is no problem with the network as first camera does not fail.

After several failed attempts to setup WiFi on this camera, finally spotted a tiny text in the manual telling me that it won't if you have a dual band router, unless you disable 5G.

Construction quality feels good. Weighted base keeps in position. Packaging nicely presented and included multi-angle bracket with standard camera mount and wall fixing screws ... could be used for other items if not needed for Maisi. Neat flat ethernet cable also included. Used iPad for setup and also used with the MIPC Mac application downloaded from Appstore for my old laptop (MacOS 10.11.6 in this instance). Both methods allow access and remote control of the camera. No problems with installing software. An update of the camera's firmware was prompted after setup and the update was quick and uneventful. I haven't yet received my SD card so have not tried the recording side of things.Decent picture in daylight (colour) and with IR illumination (grey scale). Ideal for my purposes and if it continues to work like this will be very good value for money.
