Illustrated Arabian Nights (Usborne Illustrated Story Collections)

I’ve read this book to my children several times. The chapters are divided into short stories that are good for an evening read.Easy to follow plots for 5-6 year olds , maybe even older children. Sturdy hard cover with lovely illustrations.

Fantastic edition, beautifully illustrated, the stories are very well re-told, truly captivating. My 6-year old daughter loves it, listens with fascination when I read them to her, although the idea of a king killing every woman is a bit hard for her, as a modern child, to perceive. Nevertheless, she is very happy with the book, and so am I.

I wanted to introduce my kids to the great stories in the Arabian Nights and I only had a very old version with difficult to understand English. This version is colourful and the language is engaging, we are enjoying reading the stories of Scheherazade.

Good selection of tales.

A beautiful book, great for my granddaughter, hopefully this will encourage her to read more, and to read to her little brother.
