## Description

YOU'VE GOT ENOUGH ON YOUR PLATE, let Yale get the door with the Yale Assure Lock 2. With multiple ways to unlock, the ability to easily share and track entry codes and advanced Auto-Lock with DoorSense(R), this Wi-Fi smart lock gives you one less thing to worry about. With built-in Wi-Fi, you can easily check that the door is locked, see if the dog walker came on time and receive a notification when the kids get home from school when you’re away from home, using the Yale Access App.

Review: Installed on every door - The Yale Assure Lock has been one of the best smart home upgrades I’ve made. Installation was straightforward, and the app setup was much easier than I expected. I love not having to carry keys anymore — the keypad is responsive, and being able to create temporary codes for guests or service workers is incredibly convenient. The lock feels solid and secure, and the auto-lock feature gives real peace of mind when I forget to check the door. Battery life has also been surprisingly good. Clean design, reliable performance, and genuinely useful day-to-day.
Review: worst smartlock on the market - I was reluctant to buy a lock without a key but was assured by Yale that these locks are very reliable and I shouldn't be concerned. Two weeks after getting several of these locks, one jammed and had to be forced open. Luckily I had access from the inside in this case. I called Yale to express my concern that I was told this "never happens" yet had EXACTLY what I feared happen in a couple of weeks. This new rep told me I should never install a key-free lock on a room with only one door in case the lock fails, exactly the OPPOSITE advice I'd received from them previously. So I had to return all the locks and reinstall the version with a key, wasting a substantial amount of time. Within a week, I had to start replacing batteries in multiple locks. It often takes upwards of 90 seconds to add or delete a user, and frequently fails and has to be redone. The tamper alarms go off regularly even though nobody has tampered with them. The battery pack is dumb, like a 1980's kid's toy where you have to thread a ribbon behind to get batteries out, or find a screwdriver. Every time I call tech support, I get a runaround or blamed for installing things wrong (which they ultimately confirm is not the case). Getting connected with a supervisor is virtually impossible, and the development team apparently needs to review every issue. I've sent photos, screen recordings, etc. to get the same nonsense answers over and again. In one instance, after waiting for a supervisor call back for a couple of days (which they won't schedule), I got a call at 830p on a Sunday night from a "spam risk" number that turned out to be Yale, followed by an email telling me "they tried". Another time, they sent an email saying they hadn't heard from me and were considering the issue resolved, when I was actually waiting on a call back from them. Finally, after weeks of back and forth, I spoke with Omar who seemed to actually have some understanding of the technology. The solution he proposed was unacceptable--to add wifi bridges to each lock and/or reconfigure my mesh network. He told me "it says on the box" that they only work with 2.4GHz which isn't quite the same as saying "doesn't work with mesh", not to mention there is NOTHING about not working with mesh on their site or in the install pdf. I've had Kwikset locks in another location for 3+ years, and while they're not perfect, I certainly haven't had to fix them or call tech support daily.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does auto unlock work with multiple users?**
A: Yes it will work for the owners of the home but only on one lock. So we recommend that you have Auto-Unlock enabled on the door that you use the most for entering your home. Auto-Lock will work regardless of who is leaving and will work on all doors - its an optional setting. Hope that helps!

**Q: Hello! Does it connect to WiFi on its own, or it needs a hub?**
A: Hi! This lock includes the Yale Wi-Fi Smart Module so it will connect directly to you home's Wi-Fi network (requires 2.4Ghz) without an additional hub required.

**Q: Is this compatible with the Ring app? I saw a comment from a couple of days ago saying it doesnt**
A: Hi! Our Yale Assure Lock 2 with Z-Wave is compatible with the Ring Alarm. But a Ring Alarm is required. This lock, the Yale Assure Lock 2 with Wi-Fi is not currently compatible with Ring.

**Q: Can I set auto re-lock time shorter than 30 sec? For example, 5 sec or immediately?**
A: Instant, 10s, 30s, 1m, 1:30m........

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ attractive and functional
*by A***. on September 12, 2024*

This lock is easy to install and its sleek look is neutral enough to fit most aesthetics. Some reviewers have complained that it eats batteries, but we haven't had that problem. You do get a warning notification when the batteries are running low and it is easy to change them. I also bought the lock that includes a key because the key option gives me a sense of security as a backup. But so far we have had no need for it.
