The Story of Tracy Beaker: 1

The recipient was very pleased with the book.

It's my 30th birthday this year and I decided to get some of my favourite books from my childhood, and this was one of them.Not only did I love this book, but I was also a huge fan of the TV show.This has brought back a lot of great memories. I can imagine little 12 year old me in my bedroom reading it.Jacqueline Wilson is a very talented author and writes a lot of great stories. I have a 10 year old niece (same age as Tracey in this book) so I'm thinking of giving it to her and hope she enjoys.

this book is so unique and ixonix. you can feel her misery of growing up in a foster home and her fustrations and saddness for her mum. really told from the childs point of view. tracys words burn on the page.HARRAY FOR THIRTY YEARS OF TRACY BEAKER!!!!!!!!!

I grew up with Tracy Beaker, the books, tv shows and merchandise hold a very prominent place in my heart. Although I’m only fifteen, nostalgia hit me hard when I spotted a new addition to the Tracy Beaker series; ‘My mum, Tracy Beaker’. At that moment, in an overcrowded superstore, I decided to re-experience the magic of Jaqueline Wilson, and purchased book 1 on kindle.After the first chapter, I fell in love with The books all over again. A great read for kids; young, old or a kid at heart.

Our adopted daughter, aged 8, loves this audiotape. The story is good, and very convincing. It's like a play (not a book being read). All the voices are very well "acted", and Tracy is a totally real girl seeking a new family but at heart wanting to go back to her birth mother who she knows does not want her and is no good for her so she had better find a new family (the conflict is just so for our daughter).In the story Tracy's adopting parent, Cam, appears, as does her birth mother. The contrast is tangible. Tracy makes friends with other disadvantaged children, but the occasional cruelty between them is very real.Get this and you'll know what life feels like on the outside of a stable family. Oh and it's also very funny in parts.

if when your reading a book and you havnt got the feeling that you cant put the book down youjr not reading the right book. books should take you to another world and when i was reading this i actually felt like i was in the room with the feisty little tracy was standing right next to me. i love this book because you can never feel alone your chatting to tracy istead i worry a lot and this authors books can just take me away to a different place and they tae me away from reality

An enjoyable story and one I remember loving when I was younger, but reading it now as an adult, I feel as though some of the story was missing...is this a new version? Do I need to read the other books for the full story? 2 stories in one book, but the story of Cam didn’t seem finished and she doesn’t make an appearance in the second story... I thought the story was finished in one book and the follow ups were just “add ons” ?The writing however is brilliant - I love that it’s from a child’s perspective.

This book is amazing. It really catches the readers attention, and engages them. I really would recommend this book to anyone.

Such a good and entertaining book!! I love the way that this writer writes books in a very unique and amazing way!! Totally loved this booked and will probably finish it in less than 2 weeks!! It has 216 pages!! Would recommend

Funny light read

I love this book! It is an amazing book I think because It describes real life the bad things and the good things of living without a family. Even if you hate you enemy you feel bad if he does not feel well! I recommend this book to everyone who likes a bit of romance, naughty little girls and having fun!
