Nuvo60/4004 Four Light Vanity, 4Lt, Polished Chrome

A very nice fixture that looks great in my new bathroom. Love the look, wish it came in nickel finish. Easy to install (well, as easy as any other standard light fixture) and I like the fact that it uses regular (meaning base is A type) bulbs, so I can get some florescent warm white bulbs.However... there are some flaws. One is that it can only be used in the up position and had they done some simple engineering, you could do either. I plan on seeing which way I like it better and then simply gluing the bases onto the glass shades with heat-proof glue. The base has a little escutcheon (collar, seen just under the shade in the photo) that is moveable (not sure why) and the shade rests on this instead of fitting inside of it. Once installed, it doesn't matter, but it would make things much easier if the glass shade fit into the escutcheon. If you don't make sure that collar is down all the way while putting the shade on, it could get tricky.The shades themselves look good from a distance, but the actual quality of the glass is iffy. Many surface flaws on the outside where the glass is still glossy. Not sure why this happened, but both shades are like this and I would assume the entire run of this lot is too as it looks like something in the manufacturing process that's done this.But... hey, it's less than 70 bucks, I feel like I can't complain a lot about this fixture for the looks/cost comparison and most people won't notice the things I've noticed about it especially when it's on during the night. Daytime might be different... and if folks are spending THAT much time in my bathroom, I'm going to be a little freaked out by THAT more than how picky they are about my new light fixture!All in all, I'd recommend. For the price, you can't beat the high-end look and works very well in very small spaces.

Contemporary light. Handle and light globes are very heavy, making it somewhat of a challenge to install. The globes them selves are packed individually which was a good thing. A few of the globes I received had air bubbles and marks within the glass I didn't expect which may just be part of the characteristic of the glass, so I just turned the globes with marks toward the wall. I also pointed the light fixture downward so globes were pointing down, which is an option with this fixture (I only choose to point down because the hole in my wall from last fixture was too high up to ceiling to have this light fixture pointing up) so nice to have the choice. So, once I put the light fixture up with globes in place it turned out like I hoped it would from the start. Yes, I would recommend product to a friend.

I ordered two of these for our somewhat large master bath. They are very nice, substantial (11 pounds each?) and the globes are larger than the typical ones you usually see. I expected the globes to be 5" long but they're actually 6" in length. While planning our layout (faucet height, mirror placement, elec box for fixtures) I wanted to know how far down the globes extend past the backplate before I placed my order (we planned to hang it in the downward position). I called Safco, the company that makes Nuvo, and was somewhat annoyed that they could not tell me that measurement nor tell me the length of the glass globes. The other issue is that one of the fixtures arrived bent. I am ordering another fixture to replace it. I hope Amazon Prime doesn't charge me an arm and a leg to return the defective fixture.

This light is stunning, no joke the thing it just top shelf looking design! It was a bit tricky to mount because it is quite heavy, so supporting its weight while trying to screw on the electrical caps was a bit of a chore, but really its nice that it is heavy because that means it is a quality product. I ended up coincidentally buing almose all of the lighting for my house (full gut remodel) from the "nuvo lighting: brand line, because it all jsut ended up begin the stuff i though looked great, and had a great price, and so far i have not been dissapointed with a single one!The glass on this thing is seriously quality stuff, it is real thick and heavy, and sort of fades at the bottom from the frosted look to a clear look, so it sort of makes it look like the glass is floating just above the chrome. This light looks AMAZING in my bathroom, and i will for sure continue to purchase from :"Nuvo Lighting" again and again.

I like this light fixture a lot - it fits in really well to bungalow and/or Arts and Crafts style bathrooms. It gives off a lot of light and, unlike a lot of fixtures that give off a lot of light, it uses standard bulbs, in incandescent or compact fluorescent versions. The finish on the glass is nice and I like the chrome finish on the metal (all this brushed nickel business is getting a little overdone for me).The one thing to know about this fixture is that it is NOT lightweight. You need to have a well-installed wall box - the light fixture I was replacing was simply attached to the NM cable coming out of the wall (which I doubt is to code, but I've seen it often enough that I wanted to mention the possibility to others), so if you have a situation like that, you WILL have to install a light fixture box first.

There are some good and bad aspects of this fixture. I purchased 2 and they are mounted facing down. The chrome is beautiful. There were minor bubbles or scratches in the glass. The base and arms were not quite parallel, so we had to loosen the back and manually adjust them so that they are both level. The base has a little escutcheon (collar, just under the shade) that is moveable; one of the threaded rings doesn't go up far enough, so the escutcheon has a little gap on the right side. You can't see the gap when it's mounted, but it's annoying.

Very nice lamp. It's tricky to find square lights and this looks very nice. The 2 bulbs put out plenty of light and it was very easy to install. The semi-flush is nice for a room with short ceilings. There's nothing fancy about the light and you don't really notice it's there, so it doesn't detract from the rest of the room.

Light it itself is great. Looks nice. Manufacturing quality a bit suspect. 1st one arrived with the glass shades chipped and uneven frosting. Sent it back immediately but Replacment took 1 month to arrive. box looked like it got stepped on and the shades were shattered into a million pieces. Manufacturer wanted me to ship the damaged item back to them AGAIN and wait another month for a replacment. After a quick call To Amazon, I received the 3rd one in 2 days. The other 2 lights I bought were great.

We received the light fixture very quickly, and it was exactly as pictured. This is a great looking light fixture, which unfortunately didn't fit in the space we had intended to use it for (we didn't judge the space correctly which is our own fault). Thank goodness we were able to facilitate an extremely easy and quick return with full refund. Although this fixture didn't work out for us, we would definitely recommend it to others. We were very happy about the level of service received from Amazon on this purchase & return.
