Good for office
Got these for my field/office job. Easy to put together and sturdy enough for steel toe boots

Broke within 2 months of gentle use
Had to modify parts to get it assembled. After assembly it was clear how poorly engineered it was, so I was very careful with the amount of weight I would put on it. Broke anyway after 2 months.

Not the best quality
I can't get this footstool level no matter what I do. It isn't off badly enough to make it unusable, but it is off badly enough to make it annoying.

Solid, but poorly aligned
The media could not be loaded. Follow-up: I have added back a star because the seller reached out to me seeking a way to improve my experience. So this seller does exhibit a desire for good customer relations. I provided some suggestions that may improve the product where deficiencies have been noted by numerous reviewers. As I write this, I have my feet on this footrest. I have been trying it for about a week now and I think I have a good idea of its pros and cons. Also, this is described as a step-stool for a secondary use case. I recommend however not using it in this way - at least not for anyone larger than a toddler. The good: The kit comes as fairly solid pieces of bamboo - and while it does require assembly, that step is not overly technical or laborious. I have a time-lapse of that step in the video. The kit also included a screwdriver for the assembly. Full disclosure, I used one of my own tools in the video. In all fairness, the issues listed under "Things to improve" do not apply while this is being used on a thick carpet.Things to improve: If using on hardwood floor or a smooth, hard surface; The general alignment of the parts seems to be slightly off. This only becomes disclosed at the tail-end of assembly. Some rubber or non-skid feet would be a big help as well. Upon completion of the assembly process, I discovered that the footstool is a rockstar! That means it rocks around...incessantly. The mismatch causes it to rock to and fro in a catty-corner fashion. On a hard surface, it slides really well. It is as if someone has discovered a true friction-free surface. This sliding action adversely affects functionality by allowing the feet slide away from the comfortable place one is trying to keep them in.To be fair, use on a carpet does solve both issues.

Expensive piece of cr*p
The media could not be loaded. Tolerances are off on the pieces, once assembled this footstool has a horrendous misalignment, and can’t be used. It is also mildly frustrating that this comes with a screw driver, which feels wasteful.

Not level
This foot rest is cute but poorly made. This foot rest requires assembly. It comes with screws and a screwdriver, but I recommend getting a power drill to get the screws all the way in well.Once assembled, that's where the foot rest falls apart. The first thing I noticed is that it wasn't level. One corner is higher than the other, so it wobbles. There are no rubber feet on this foot rest so not only does it slide around on a wooden floor, but it's also noisy when it rocks back and forth. Also because it's not level, adjusting the foot rest is not smooth as one side's pegs sticks. I would pass on this foot rest.

Looks good and works, but not well-made
The Gobam Adjustable Bamboo Under Desk Footrest is not a heavy-duty product. It’s okay as a footrest, but I would not use it as a step stool because it only holds up to 110 lbs. and the adjustability makes it unsafe for standing. Assembly is simple and instructions are clear. Comes with a real screwdriver. The angle is adjustable, but it is much easier to do it by hand.ISSUES: 1. The way the platform just sits in the side slots using small pegs is a weak and cheap design that does not operate smoothly. The platform fits loosely and rocks a bit when you move your feet. Needs larger pegs, better yet, nylon or steel bushings or rails. 2. It really needs some rubber feet because it slides very easily on every surface but carpet. 3. The two side pieces have countersunk holes for the screws. I received two identical pieces when there should be a right and a left. If you assemble it with the countersunk holes backwards the screws will not go into the braces far enough to hold and will strip out. (Amazon replaced it immediately and the replacement was correct.) 4. FYI: Some reviewers complained about misalignment or rocking. I found that by slightly twisting the unit this can be corrected. Another option would be to remove and replace the screws while holding the unit on a flat surface. The holes are predrilled and the screws must be inserted into the holes or it will rack the unit.Overall, the product looks good and works OK, but it is not “premium quality” as the listing states. I feel it is overpriced at $37.
