FLORA GUARD Professional Garden Trowel (YYCD-401)

Amazing... Love using this in the garden. Especially with weeds :-)

We bought this Hori Hori knife after a visit to RHS Wisley and one of their young gardeners recommended one. First thing to say is that this Hori Hori knife is bigger than we expected, but actually this turned out to be a good thing as it makes the knife much more useable. With this you can: dig for planting (it has a depth scale); dig up weeds with it’s curved pointy blade; use the bladed side to cut twine, string or thin rope; and use the serrated blade to saw through small branches. The knife itself has a strong wooden handle, the blade is thick and can take some punishment (we garden on clay and have seen tools bend and break, but not this one), it comes with a heavy-duty leather sheath to keep it out of harms way when not in use, and it also comes with a small sharpening stone to maintain the blade edge. Fantastic product, buy one and you’ll wonder how you gardened without it.

So useful , very sturdy

Great for cutting and weeding. probably overpriced but it handles nicely. The leather is beginning to wear a bit at the top of the holder after less than a year. I find it difficult to easily attach to a belt and move around with it as its a bit wieldy the knife works fine

Great tool and functional

This snapped after about 2 months of usage and I didn't even use it that much CUSTOMER SERVICE got In contact and sent another one out , had a few issues and custom services were the best I have ever come across. Had a full refund in the end. I didn’t even ask for one because they were so good with communication but they just refunded me . That’s why I changed the 1star to a 5 Star. The 5 star was for customer service not the product.

Really pleased with this trowel/knife. It really slides effortlessly to the roots of weeds and has the added bonus of using the side to cut through any long or cumbersome stalks and leaves that get in the way, without having to stop to use secateurs. I like the measurements on the blade, which will really help with transplanting young plants. I find it very comfortable and very sturdy. Pleased to have a whet stone included, so I can keep it sharp. Quite pricey, but I did lots of research beforehand and used some of my Christmas money to buy myself a special treat. Fingers crossed it works as well when the ground is drier and harder.

This was a Christmas present which I started to use a few weeks ago. First impressions was this is a great tool. Unfortunately the wooden handle has started to split causing dirt to wedge between the cracks. Not to sure how long this will last & couldn't find any seller contacts to inform them of the issue. Very dissapointed.
