Excellent range on this phone system
I needed a reliable system that would allow running a wireless system that could reach out eighty feet or so to the shed/cabin from the base in the house. Having used a VTech phone with one remote extension for a few years that worked well in two prior apartments, I decided to give their extended range system a try. It works better than I could have expected. It was also easy to set up, at a fair price, with enough extensions to have easy access anywhere in the house and shed. Great system overall.

Good quality.
It said it would announce the calls coming it but it doesn't. Other than that we're happy with the purchase. The sound quality is good. I like the featuring allowing me to answer my cell phone from the handset because I don't like talking on my cell when I don't have to. The price was good for 5 handsets.

Setup instructions don't work, but the phione works nicely
Plugged it in. It says "No date/time". The instructions say "Enter the date", but doing that with the keypad doesn't work. I bet it has lots of fancy features. Too bad they didn't get the first step implemented properly.Once I got past setting the time, I'd say this product works nicely. Audio quality is good and we never get interference.Having said that, the user interface is hard to use:* "Home" means answer the phone* "Menu" means select a menu option, but also means "ok" or "select" in certain contexts* When in a menu option doing something (eg. looking at the caller ID log), you have to use the "Off" button to go back to the previous menu. Hitting left on the big cursor toggle button doesn't do anything. Also, I called Vtech phone support about adding extra handsets. They say you can't add extra handsets (past 5) for this product (product id IS8129-5). Note, that the product description for his product says, "Expandable to 12 HS". So that's an error, you can't expand the IS8129-5 past the 5 phones it comes with. But according to Vtech phone support you could purchase model number IS8151-5 (base + 5 handsets?) and IS8100 (additional handset?) as an alternative to this model.

Great product, again!
we had the earlier version as a landline via Ooma VOIP in the house for the last 10 years. These are the next better version and announce " Joe Bump" calling, Joe Bump calling, which is very helpful if you are across the room. Sound is excellent and read out is very nicely lit and great readability. Stores past calls and you can review messages from the phone and don't have to review voice mail from the main unit. Another win.

It is what it is, could be a lot better
I needed a new phone set. I wanted bluetooth to answer more than one phone line. This fits the bill, but that don't make it great. You need to dial the number before you activate the dial tone, or it infuriatingly makes incredibly loud beeps where the timing is so slow, it throws you off dialing the number. The ring sounds are horrible. If you misplace a handset, and you use the locate button, they all go off horribly loud, all at once, throwing off where the actual lost headset is. Like the couldn't do that one at a time, or only ring the ones not in a charger? And they all permantly say, 'New Voicemail', when there isn't any, and for that matter, it has never actually recorded any messages yet. I think that part is broken. The main set also keeps a running count of missed calls for some reason. And the bluetooth quality isn't all it's supposed to be, either. It would be a huge help to have it remember dialed calls, but no, you have to manually dial in each one, or add it to a contact list. Crazy stuff...Add it all up and this is a mess. Look elsewhere. Poor quality. I think the CEO should be forced to use this product, so he'll get a clue.

Directions are terrible.
Worst instructions to install and use I have ever come up against. And that's whatit felt like, a battle. Sent back for a refund as just not worth the effort.
