I have a 7,000lt pond, it keeps the temperature around 10oC at the roughest weather conditions.

The heater has a thermostat which goes up to 40° C. We used it to heat a 1,000 litre pond for an injured swan. Filled the pond with warm water and then used the heater to maintain the temperature at the swans body temperature of 35 degrees.Be prepared for large electric bills, as the heater was on for most of the time.

Go elsewhere for a heater. The first one I had the thermostat was so inaccurate I had to use guesswork and an external thermometer to gauge, then it stopped working after a week. Replacement sent immediately by Amazon, arrived the next day. This one did better, the thermostat was about 10 degrees off, but after some fiddling, I got it to where I needed. Then three months in the element dies. Replacement sent next day, by Amazon. Plumbed in and the thermostat died within 12 hours - I would turn it up, the light goes on then immediately off, turn it up again, on then off it goes, then all the way up to 40, the light goes on, then immediately off. Amazon as ever have been exceptional and offered an immediate replacement, but this time, I simply requested a refund. Do yourself a favour, these cheap(ish) heaters simply are not made well enough. Next time, next Winter, I will invest in something more substantial. The odd thing, is that this heater looks well made, the connections are solid and everything appears to be high quality, but for whatever reason, the heater simply doesn't last and the thermostat are either low quality or not calibrated. One thing I know is that I rarely write reviews and I wouldn't want anyone having to bother plumbing this in, only to have to remove it and find a solution to fill the gap - quite literally.

It does what it says on the box very easy to install , but even though it’s sold to the uk market it comes with a continental 2 pin plug use of which with an adapter with heating equipment is not allowed in the uk so you have to cut the plug off which invalidates the warrenty straight away . And also the thermostat is about 5 degrees out

Easy to install clear instructions. Seems to be working well although seasonal temperatures are good the pond is a lot warmer
