Good indoor and OUTDOOR
*** Since reaching the end of writing this I’ve decided it’s a long review but worth reading!! :)Wheat bags? We’ve always used wheat bags instead of hot water bottles or turning the heating up. The microwave energy use is better than heating a whole house, and a water bottle will perish over time (PLEASE check the expiry date on your hot water bottle- they are actually there!). We still have wheat bags that are 20+ years still in use. So if not this product, still consider them.Retain heat? They retain heat. Hours after you heated them they still feel warm to the touch if still kept with your body. Or if you’re quickly popping out just stick it somewhere warm to keep some heat, or curl it up!Why this one? It’s been a one off purchase so far but I do think if there’s a sale on I’ll buy them as gifts and extras for us all (if you’re like me you’ll have left one in bed and not want to go and collect it so just get another one out of the cupboard!).BIGGEST SELLING POINT of this particular one- They’re stitched in a way so the wheat doesn't separate or gravitate towards one end if you hold it straight down- so the even spread of the wheat was probably the main reason I bought it.Outside!?Well this one looks like a scarf and sits well, and when walking the dog it comes in very sneakily handy!!!! Me and my mum have taken other wheat bags out walking but the wheat separates and you end up with two lumps either side of your neck!! So as I mentioned above about the way it’s stitched- you get coverage all over the back of your neck with this, too.Extras? It comes in a nice little drawstring bag of the same colour, which, isn’t really necessary but it’s the same soft material (I’d call it velvet/teddy bear). Im half wondering whether to use that material and use it to make another smaller pack? Or simply use it to store carrier bags or something. The material and stitching is lovely quality. What if you don’t want to spend so much?Make your own. My first introduction to one was home made 20+ years ago and infused with a small amount of lavender oil. Without even looking I’m sure there’ll be tutorials on YouTube, you can then choose your own materials (**please, please, check the safety of microwaving the materials you use**).Last thing! How long in the microwave?Follow the instructions but I usually go for longer after checking it, or adjust it if it’s already got residual heat/ recently been used. Tbh from the instructions I need mine a bit warmer…. Keep trying an extra 20 seconds or so and make sure it’s spread evenly on the microwave plate.*** a couple of months later, no change, still brill, still soft and hot!

Pretty Good
First thing you notice is how heavy it is. It heats nicely in the microwave. It's comfy to wear. The heat lasts awhile. The smell is okish. You get used to it. The more I have used it the less the smell is. I just wish it was more lavender. The velvet cover is really lovely. I would say if you have a large neck it wouldn't fit. I have a slim neck, it fits perfectly.

Very comfortable
It is a very useful product for neck and shoulder pain. It fits perfectly around the neck and stays warm fot about 30 mins. I emailed the vompany about storing it, as the instructions did not state that. Got a very nice and prompt reply with excellent info.

is a bit more bulky than I was expecting
I found it a bit more bulky than I was expecting and on the heavy side but I could be classed as a "frail old lady" so that might be why. It just fits around the neck rather like a bulky scarf. It has a lovely relaxing perfume but did not keep the heat very long. Was a bit bulky for the microwave but managed to heat it without touching the sides as instructed.

Comfortable to wear
I bought this product to help with the pain I suffer from due to a broken shoulder. Once I have warmed it up it helps to ease my pain after doing my shoulder exercises. The scent is not to strong, it looks strange when you first put it on but I only use it at home. It's easy to use, good quality I feel that it's value for the money.

So Large - How does this fit into a microwave?
The design is pretty good, it's very soft, and comes in a nice soft bag. It also smells nice. However, I cannot seem to find a heating option which has a front closure (this one isn't as structured as I thought so it would need one for me to walk around while wearing it) - and I also haven't found one that's washable. How hard is it to provide a washable cover? Microwaves are gross - and there is no way of me getting this into my microwave without it touching one of the walls. Just no - Why buy something you can't wash... that WILL get dirty quickly? It's a no from me

Wheat bag
Overall it's a good product. The product could be improved by making little internal pockets so as the wheat is spread evenly rather than all gathering at the lowest point, this would make it more comfortable to use. It does help you relax though and it does hold the heat for quite some time. I do like the product and I would recommend it.
