This light fixture is amazing. It's super lightweight, super bright and I'll never have to buy a bulb for it. (Note: This is a hardwired fixture. You connect it to your house circuits, it doesn't plug in.) I have about 8 fluorescent light fixtures in my basement. I decided to replace one of the fixtures because the electronics (probalby the ballast) had gone bad and no bulb would light in it. Some of my fixtures still have the old style fluorescent bulbs, some I've replaced with LED bulbs - the T8 bulbs that look like old fluorescent style, but are filled with LEDs. This fixture was easy to install because there was almost nothing inside. There are some wires, an electronic controller that you can hardly notice, two strips of LED elements - AND **NO BULBS**. No *sockets* for the bulbs. And those LED bulbs or old fluorescent bulbs, THEY AIN'T CHEAP. This fixture doesn't use any bulbs. And by the time the LED elements burn out, I won't be around to see them. As far as I'm concerned, this is a lifetime light fixture. The elimination of bulbs makes this fixture super lightweight. It's extremely easy to hold the entire fixture with one hand while wiring or turning screws with the other. Beyond that, to my amazement, this fixture with its built-in LED lighting elements, is much brighter than my old fluorescent bulbs or my LED replacement bulbs. And no flicker and no dimming. Like most LED lights, it takes about one second to light up, but then it's there - super bright and dependable AND NO BULBS to replace. This fixture is amazing and I'll be replacing the other 7 fixtures in my basement over the next year. This light fixture is a winner! Look no further.

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy this was to install,plus the brighness was much better than the original fluorescent bulb type.

Easy install to replace a former fluorescent fixture that was in our garage over the laundry machines. Super bright, instant on without delay, nice and clear lighting for this kind of work area. There's nothing fancy about it - - - no ability to tweak color warmth or brightness - - - but for our garage laundry area, we don't need anything like that. Our previous fixture was installed on the wall - - - not the ceiling - - - and this installed easily using that existing hardwire junction box that the former fixture was connected to.

This light was ordered to replace an old twin florescent tube ceiling fixture. It is very bright and seemed too bright at first after living the florescent light bulbs. There are adjustments for brightness and color temperature which helped tone down the light level. The light diffuser works well and after living with it for a week, it is a good upgrade and much better for working in the kitchen. The fixture is fairly cheap construction, but once it is installed in the ceiling the build quality is not noticeable.

It came as expected. I like the choices of intensity of light. It was easy to install.

Very easy to install. And the light is nice and bright. Plus it's inexpensive and what I like about it is you can add more of the lights to expand to add more lights to the area if needed.

These three four feet LED fixtures replaced similar length (two bulb) fluorescent fixtures I installed about twenty years ago. They are lighter, largely because they have no ballast, and are easy to install. I put them on the bottom of floor joists in my basement. They are very bright, and while there are three wattage and coolness settings, I have just left them on maximum but some time I may adjust them for a warmer light effect. I notice that these are suitable for garages too so in the future I'll be getting two more of these to replace the fluorescent fixtures I put up in my two stall garage years ago. This all started when I put new bulbs in the three basement fluorescent fixtures only to have first one, then a second ballast go bad. Ever try to buy a ballast in today's 'energy efficient' world? I just decided to go LED and these lights looked like about as good a deal as I was going to find. I have not been disappointed. I was glad that I watched the installation video because it reminded me of the method of taking off and reinstalling the diffuser which is a bit tricky but not too big a deal. This is a very common attachment method on lower priced light fixtures and getting the plastic end cap to open just enough to get the end of the diffuser to slip in place can try a person's patience, practice makes perfect. Update- I bought four more of these. Two of them replaced two four bulb fluorescent fixtures (four feet long bulbs) in my basements and these LED units put out more light than even these four bulb units did. Two of these Hykolity fixtures replaced two 2 bulb, four feet, fluorescent fixtures in my garage. The garage is now bathed in daylight, even at night.

Worked great to replace an old florescent fixture. It allows for an off centered box and for the wires to be connected inside of the light which isn’t the case with the flush mount lights that are similar. It mounts with ease since it’s so light.
