Manic Panic Amplified Cream Formula, Vampire Red, 118 ml

I purchased this dye to add a bit of color for a weekend festival and loved it. I used the dye over unbleached medium brown hair and it came out a lovely bright purple/red color! I have fine hair about mid-shoulder and used half the bottle to cover the whole head so you really do get your money's worth. I didn't follow the instructions on the bottle for dyeing, I followed the ones on the website instead. I washed my hair with Herbal Essence color me happy shampoo, then blowdryed it most of the way dry. I put vaseline around my hairline on my skin (but not on the hair) to help prevent staining on my face. I applied using a comb and worked half the bottle into my hair. I put it all under a shower cap and left it for an hour and a half. After an hour and a half I applied heat by blowdrying for half an hour. Then I rinsed in cold water until it ran mostly clear. I rinsed for about an hour before it was only tinted with pink so it takes awhile! It does rinse out a little each wash, but I haven't noticed any staining on my clothes or pillowcases. I also didn't have any staining on my face or hands. After the dye it made my hair feel really soft and healthy. I've been washing my hair every three days or longer if I can get away with it to try to make it last. Would definitely recommend!

I wasn’t expecting such a saturated, vibrant colour! I didn’t bleach my hair, just went for a shower then chucked the dye on and left it for about 45 minutes. I was so surprised to see the colour when it washed out. I thought you’d notice the colour in the sun and no more, but it’s VERY red. I love it, a very pleasant surprise :)

Loved this product, easy to apply. Couloir was vibrant and lasted very well. My only negative was it runs if you get caught in the rain or a sweaty training session 😬

Vampire red!! I love this colour!! Id not long dyed my hair with vampires kiss and i totally hated it, I had pre-lightened my hair before applying the previous dye so had quite a light red to cover. Its a nice dark red, but not too dark. Ive used various manic panic colours but i think i'll be sticking with this one for a while as its just a fab colour. My only peave with it is it does rub off onto my skin and pillowcase! Ive taken to putting my hair up before i go to bed so that the staining on my skin isnt too tragic, but its easily removed with a baby wipe. It does look like youve murdered someone when you wash it, even when using cold water. But regardless of that im very happy with the colour :D

After having an incident with hair bleach a couple of years ago, I have not touched the stuff since. I do love dying my hair, especially with vibrant colours but it always seemed like I had to bleach it before hand. After checking out the Manic Panic website, I had seen that someone had used this colour on unbleached hair and the result was fantastic. I have been purchasing this shade for a good 6 months now and not used bleach once. Red hair requires a lot of maintenance but this shade is worth it and the quality it great everytime. It is also a vegan product for those who are interested. I recommend using this on unbleached hair, and keeping it in for about 1-2 hours depending on how you feel. I personally wrap my hair in cling film and apply heat from time to time before washing it out.

This product is amazing! I have tried every colour under the sun & failed to achieve what i wanted.. came across manic panic by accident & read the reviews so thought id give it a try as it was a semi permanent & my hair couldn't take any more abuse! The only down side is it does stain everything it comes into contact with... just be careful & have a towel specifically for colouring your hair with this product.. and don't wash it with anything else or you'll end up with pink towels as i did. I would certainly recommend this product as i achieved the colour i wanted & it left my hair silky soft with an amazing shine! Result! :)

A great deep red colour - worked well on my bleached hair, and on my husbands regular hair. Long lasting colour, vibrant and shiny hair.

The colour is highly pigmented and i get the colour I want. However, it bleeds a lot eventhough the price is high. I have to redo my hair every 2 weeks or so

Exceptionally Bright colour from this Dye...I love it..you just have to be careful if you perspire on a hot day as it always runs down your face!

Absolutely in love with this dye. Its very high pigmented which leads into a great result. Washing it out the first time makes the shower look a bit like a horrorszene but that's expected when you use red hairdye. However, when washing with cold water you can get the color to remain 3+months. The hairdye fades nice and evenly aswell. I have dark brown hair naturally and the regrowth blends good with the dyed hair. Will purchase it over and over again but probably mix it with conditioner sinxe it's pigmented enough.
