Pretty .uch as expected. Having plenty of experience with semi rigid ducting, This is about as good as it gets for non insulated ducting.

You certainly won't get the full length extension from this rigid duct, but unlike other complaints I wouldn't worry about damage to the tube if you're careful. I suspect most people that are ripping or crushing this haven't worked w/ rigid duct before. Be careful, don't pinch loads at any single point, and you'll be fine.

I used this for a short run from a bathroom vent fan to exhaust out an attic vent. Yes its cheap, in fact they staple a tag to one end of it. Its no different than working with cheap flexible dryer vents. You have to stretch it out slowly and evenly. I pulled one way, then the other over my knee to avoid putting too much stress in one place. I have some doubts you would make a full 8 foot with this but I only needed 6 and didn't push it. It fit fairly easily over the 6" outlet on my fan and stayed there about as securely as i could hope for considering there was no clamps involved. Summary: It's cheap, and that's what i wanted. I was careful and had zero issues. Good buy.

Great fit my application. The material is fragile but the same thing at the Home repair store was twice the price! So,,,, score one domestic goddess!

Just gotta state that this is by far the best semi-rigid aluminum duct pipe i had ever purchased. Needed a sturdy, but flexible piping that can go right through my 6" concrete wall after drilling for a day or so and to my surprise, it was almost a perfect fit!. Will be doing another project and will surely purchase another one if needed. In my opinion, completely satisfied with the price and delivery was fast & item came undamaged, a huge plus. Overall, i would recommend it, it is so versatile.

Used on my gas dryer, this product replaces an old 'disintegrating' plastic vent hose, (which should never have been used on a hot exhaust appliance in the first place). If you have to cut it, be advised that it will helically tear if you're not careful. I was concerned about its' crush factor, but the sidewalls hold up well and it will bend around tight corners without crimping. I use high temp HVAC aluminum foil tape rather than hose clamps to secure the ends. I would not hesitate to purchase this again and recommend it as a safer way to vent hot dryer exhaust.

Had a to be a bit more careful with the 8" as opposed to 4"..can tear more easily.. Can always use some alloy duct tape in any case... Hardly noticeable then.

Ignore the lower ratings, it's sturdy and exactly as expected. I would assume it will only get flimsy at full extension, has every duct will. Works fine for my wood stove to forced air conversion.
