NT-H2 3.5g AM5 Edition

Simply 10/10, cooling great, actual high quality paste itself, very easy to use, super small so easy to store, value amazing, Not much to be said but just the best. Plus as bonus you get the wipes.

The product works very well as you will see in the post replacement thermal metrics. The target PC was put into service in August of 2021 and this is the first CPU thermal paste replacement. I’m so pleased with the lower CPU package temperature that I’m going open the case again and replace the GPU thermal paste as well for this AIO liquid cooled CPU/GPU 10L case B550 ITX R9 5950X / nvidia 3880 gaming PC.

Disclaimer: I am reviewing this product from the perspective of a normal system that is not overclocked. I do not build, test, or use overclocked systems. I have used Arctic brand thermal paste for most of my PC building career, which is fantastic and I would never turn anyone away from using it. I have mostly switched to Noctua NT-H1 and NT-H2 for the sole reason that it spreads very easily. I have tested the paste by putting a medium sized blob in the center of the processor then installed the heatsink. After removing the heatsink, I can see the paste has spread evenly across the processor face, which is incredibly convenient. No more fighting to get paste evenly distributed using a toothpick or card. As far as performance goes, this works just as well as the Arctic stuff, and any difference is within a degree or 2. I cannot say if this holds up as well under extreme OC situations, as I do not use it for that purpose, there is plenty of information out there by professional overclockers that surely answer that question. TLDR - Get this or the NT-H1 if you hate manually spreading paste and just want a good product for building your next gaming (or work) PC.

Great Noctua product, dropped my CPU temps by 2-3 degrees.

I know my cpu isn't gigantic but I thought the included guard would be a big bigger? Very small and flimsy. I don't doubt Noctua's quality but I opted to use a contact frame instead. Paste seems good so far though

Ho provato diverse paste termiche nel corso degli anni, ma la Noctua NT-H2 AM5 Edition si è confermata come la migliore in assoluto, soprattutto considerando il rapporto qualità-prezzo. La confezione da 3.5g è più che sufficiente per diversi montaggi, il che la rende anche conveniente per chi fa upgrade o assemblaggi frequenti. L’applicazione è semplicissima grazie alla consistenza ottimale della pasta: non troppo liquida, non troppo densa, si stende facilmente e aderisce perfettamente alla superficie del dissipatore e della CPU. Dopo il montaggio, le temperature sono calate sensibilmente rispetto a molte altre paste che avevo provato in passato, con una conduzione termica davvero superiore. È studiata appositamente per il socket AM5, quindi garantisce performance al top con i processori AMD Ryzen più recenti. La durata e la stabilità termica sono eccellenti, permettendo di mantenere il sistema fresco anche sotto carichi pesanti e prolungati. In sintesi, se cercate una pasta termica affidabile, performante e dal prezzo giusto, la Noctua NT-H2 AM5 Edition è sicuramente il prodotto da scegliere senza esitazioni.

Adaptateur AMD super pratique et tres rassurant quand on a peur d'en mettre a coté. Et la qualitée de la pate est bonne, elle fait son job !

Worked as it should, Im not an engineer or chemist so I cannot say to a precise level of degree just how well this product works 100% compared to other pastes because theres so many thermal pastes out there but all with different chemical compositions etc. I just know that this type and brand is very well known for high performance and better than its predecessor H1. One thing I will say, I wish it could be spread a little easier? it was quite thick but maybe that is done for a good reason which I probably am unaware of at this time.
