More Yokan than Mochi but still yummy
As other reviewers have noted, this is not really mochi. It is more yokan like in texture, though not as dense as a traditional yokan. (think dense room temp jello as an approximation; softer to bite and less chewy than most gummy candy). The Yuzu flavor is true. It is not overwhelmingly sweet. I liked it.

American palat approved
I'm a hiker & just overall fruit snack enjoyer from Florida. I grew up on a lot of typical American gummy snacks with lots of sugar & artificial flavors, so I've been caught off guard whenever I buy foreign brand snacks by the subtleness of the flavors in them.I've bought other Asian fruit gummies that were so subtle they were boring, But these fruit flavored mochi gummies are an absolute treat! I bought the apricot flavor to test out first and I was very much pleased with them. Not only is the texture a nearly perfect soft-but not too squishy gelatin, the flavor is perfectly sweet without being under or overwhelming. Great for hikes when you need a fruity snack to bring along. Doesn't get too stiff in the cold temperatures & the thick gelatin aspect is a nice addition to filling your belly at snack time on the trail when "hiker hunger" kicks in compared to typical nutritionless artificial flavored American gummy snacks.I bought a second flavor (grape) to try next because I was so impressed with these. The price isn't attractive, but if you factor in the fact that it's imported & higher quality than "Welches" or "Haribo", I'd say it's worth it.

Safe for Crowns!
Years ago I pressed my teeth into a Gelatin Orange Sugar Slice and the suction power I received yanked out one of my crowns which had a replacement cost of around $1200. That's expensive candy that I no longer eat! However, these Mochi's do not have near the same suction power when chewing them. The Pear flavor is similar to real Pears and I enjoy letting it dissolve in my mouth for a while before trying to chew it.These Mochi's are not overly sweet and since they are individually wrapped, they won't all stick together. They're a little pricey, but so is dessert at any restaurant now, plus, I didn't have to travel to Japan to get them.

Decent jelly candy
It's alright, not too sweet mor does it have an over powering artificial flavor. But the flavor is somewhat mild and gives off a slight artificial after taste. Didn't really taste the yuzu much.

Great taste, surprising texture
These actually tasted like grape juice, not grape flavoring. The texture was a wonderful surprise. They reminded me of those fruit slice gel candies with the rinds, but these are not covered in sugar crystals. I was expecting them to be a little sticky, but they were smooth

If texture is important to you get the Plain and skip the flavored versions!
The Texture of these candies is very different between the plain and the flavored varieties. The Plain flavor is the closest to what I was looking for in texture-- a richer, chewier mochi texture that I remember from my time spent in Japan. The other flavors I also tried however they were not at all similar in texture to the Plain flavor texture. The other flavors are more like regular jellied candies, not very "chewy" at all and do not have that satisfying mochi mouth feel. So if you're shopping for texture, try the plain. If you're shopping for flavor and not too picky about the texture, then the other flavors you might enjoy. I didn't care for the flavored textures as I was looking for mochi. I will stick with plain, but remember there's not a lot of "flavor" with plain, but there is all the texture. It's even chewier if you refrigerate them!

Meh
The product was OK. The flavor was nice, but the texture was odd. It seemed more like chewing a jelly candy instead of mochi and was quite a bit sweeter than expected. Probably won’t buy it again.
