Good quality lock.. comes as complete set, very good value bought to replace existing broken sashlock so was easy to fit.

Budget low security lock
The lock is robust and finished in a weather resistant black powder coat paint and comes in a sealed blister pack. The lock is around 35% cheaper than local DIY stores representing good value for money. Installation is easy and the lock can be installed in just a few minutes with basic tools. The screws are poor quality so it maybe an idea to replace them. The lock is the old fashioned rim lock design from the 1940s and very low security but ideal for gates and sheds that don’t store any expensive items.

Some problems
I was luckily just replacing an old one so didn’t have to drill much. Fitting the main plate and through handle was easy enough. The part that goes on the gate post is simply rubbish and when fitted, the locking bolt and handle bolt just wouldn’t latch into it. I put the old one back on and it’s a couple of mm deeper so accommodates the lock and handle bolts. So I have a solution but I expected the new one to fit.
