Perfect fit for 2008 Audi TT 1.8l.
Perfect fit for 2008 Audi TT 1.8l. Fit and finish were good. Gasket was high quality and fit perfectly. I did check the thermostat in hot water before installing (I've had new ones fail before). It started to open (that I could see) at the appropriate rating, so that's perfect. Came in typical thin paperboard box, but that's standard.

don't let bad reviews send you away from this product
It's a thermostat lol.its also a cheap thermostat so don't expect a German quality replacement.key is it works and that's why it gets 5 stars.it does its job for the price I was willing to pay at the moment.it leave a lot to be desired quality wise but again it works, don't let bad reviews send you away from this product,it does what it should for a small price.

Works, mostly
It seems to work, resolved my issues with excessive cooling during the summer. Does not keep the engine warm during the winter. In all fairness, it is a very small displacement 2.0 and perhaps the orientation of the temperature sensor contributes to the low temp reading, perhaps. That being said the car still runs cold over the cooler winter days, it is my suspicion this is the result of the thermostat not sealing completely or opening prematurely. It does work, although maybe not as well as a higher quality part.
