These are great candles. I highly recommend the candles and this company. They are pale purple and pink so when lit they can wash out a bit, but the purple and pink colors are still clear. Advent Customs involve lighting one additional candle each week for the four weeks before Christmas with the pink one on the Third week. If you light regular candles (with fire) by Christmas the candles are all different heights since they have had different burning time (one being lit all four weeks, one three weeks, one two, etc). I like that these candles have different heights as though they really had burned like regular advent candles. My only quibble is that the pink one is the largest (it should be next to largest) but that's hardly a major quibble. I just LOVED these. Everything works perfectly. They are really covered in wax! This proved good when my daughter dropped a candle and bent some of the wax around the rim-- we just heated it up mildly and it went back into shape since it's actually wax. And the candle still worked fine. My mantle looks so pretty this advent with these candles!

I love these candles. They really do look and feel like real candles. They're quite lovely. The LED flames don't look like real flames, but I wasn't expecting them to. (They're LED's after all.) The remote can change the color of the flames and the flicker, as well as set the timer to turn off in 4-hours or 8-hours and turn back on in 24 hours. (The remote will control the candles as a group or individually if you separate them while making changes. I changed the flicker so they wouldn't be in sync.) I'll be purchasing at least one more set for presents for next year. The candles need 3 AAA batteries each. The remote comes with a battery. I'm extremely happy I found these candles. Extremely happy. (They were well packaged. I can reuse the packaging for storing the candles. They arrived two days late, but that was due to the shipping carrier misrouting them once they hit the U.S.)

I bought these candles in October and they looked attractive. I tried to set them up when Advent started, but I could not get them to work. The remote did not work properly, and the candles had a mind of their own - changing color turning themselves off, etc. I contacted Adoria, but they did not respond to my request for help. The most discouraging part of this experience was that I could not get them to light properly at all - with or without the remote.

I ordered this set of candles to use for the season of Advent. During Advent our family enjoys the tradition of lighting a candle each week in preparation for the season of Christmas. These candles are perfect and the staggering heights makes it seem more realistic.The candles look exactly as they do in the description on Amazon. I love that this set has the right color candles to use for Advent - 3 purple and 1 pink candle and that the candles are in varying heights. The two tallest candles are the same height but it still looks nice for this purpose.Sometimes I find it is hard to find real candles in the proper color for Advent. I am amazed to have found LED Advent candles. I personally like LED candles more than ones with real flame because I can enjoy them instead of worrying about things catching on fire.For me the candles are perfect but I would not give these as a gift because the box that they are packaged in is different than the description. The box they are packaged in mentions a remote and being able to change the color of the candles which you cannot do. I didn’t receive a remote but I wasn’t expecting one as the description didn’t say it would come with one. I was just surprised by the packaging.I am happy with the candles. They are battery operated requiring 3 AAA per candle. There is a on/off switch on the bottom of the candle by the battery compartment.

Purchased these candles for our school's Advent wreath. The candles vary in height, feel like real wax candles, run on 2 AAs and come with a remote. You simply point at each candle to turn it on and can select continuous, 4h or 8h run times. You can even change the color of the flame. The light illuminates on the side of the candle so the children can see which one is burning. I've received so many positive comments from parents, faculty and administration. Very classy. Very pretty. Purchasing a set for my home.

The media could not be loaded. I loved this set--perfect for Advent! No more worrying about kids playing with fire. However, after only three weeks of use at supper time, one of my purple candles will not respond to the remote. It also now has an orange 'flame' that I cannot get rid of and that does not match the flames of the other purple candles. I am hoping that the seller will make good on their guarantee of quality. If so, I will gladly update my review to reflect that.UPDATE: Seller did contact me and instructed me to change out the batteries and not use Duracell’s. That worked for the use with the remote issue! However, the little flame still glows differently than the other candles, and I don’t know how to fix that.

I love these candles! I’ve always wanted advent candles but not the typical kind. These have an awesome look and with the remote you can change the color of the flames though I prefer to keep them regular for the advent season. A con I would list is that it went through the batteries pretty quick. I needed to replace them quicker than I thought. Beautiful overall and I am quite pleased with them.

Look great as per the ad ....the one down side was the remote did not work well as we had them displayed in a cluster......other than that they were lovely.
