My wife has these super long straws that work great for tall travel mugs but are too tall for simple cocktails, like a highball glass or even a normal sized drinking glass. I would end up cutting them down and it gets annoying. (I know, such problems I have.) Anyway, instead of just getting regular straws I thought I'd look for some xmas ones and found a ton. But these are one of the few that were shiny, simple, classy designs that were still paper and not too expensive. They are paper but hold up very nicely in liquid, easily getting through a meal or several drinks before they even start to absorb the water. And they look very sharp.

I ordered these straws for a family Christmas party that I had--big family, lots of kids! Yes, they are just straws, but they were just another perfect touch to a well-planned evening!

Because they are paper I don't know if they will hold up as well as plastic, but they are sure cute.

These are fantastic. I added these to a hot cocoa bar for decorative and practical usage. These help up much better than other paper straws I've used. I think the foil wrapping helped with that.

Super cute and decorative..and they actually do last longer than normal paper straws because if the foil!!!! Highly recommend!!!!
