Q: why does kaytee use regular sunflower seeds instead of the less fatty black ones?

My guess is, and it is only a guess, the black oil sunflower seeds put more weight on the birds.

Purchased it a while back and don’t recall seeing any bugs or moths. I’m sure there may be a bug or moth that gets through at some point, but it shouldn’t harm any bird. I been buying many different Kaytee products over the years and never had an issue.

Q: what is the pellets that are in this mix??
