Makes For Healthy Kitties!
Best value, best wet cat food around. I have 3 cats ranging in age from 14 months to 7 years. My veterinarian told me early on that she and the vet techs play a secret game when new clients come in called “wet food/dry food” where they guess what the cat’s primary diet is based on their appearance alone, before the exam even takes place. And they are almost always right! That’s because cats fed exclusively wet food are healthier, slimmer, have shinier coats, brighter eyes, more energy and cleaner teeth! Not to mention the whole host of health benefits wet food only diets offer. My 3 love this brand, and I love how nutritionally complete it is. It makes keeping them on a wet food diet affordable, keeps their litter boxes much less stinky, and always arrives fresh and perfectly packaged.

They are happy
For a cheap wet cat food, it’s pretty darn good. Shockingly my barn cats are very picky and will resort to the dogs food if they don't like what Im feeding them. They eat this stuff over any other cheap cat food I've fed them.

Denting, but food is great
I really like this food because it has quality ingredients, always got a great price and it’s one of the few flavors my picky eater enjoys! However, the cans almost always arrive dented, even when I order from Chewy. I reached out to customer service and they did issue a refund, which I appreciated, but it’s something to be aware of when purchasing. I’m not sure if the formula changed, but one batch last year did upset my cats’ stomachs. They’ve been fine since, though. I just really wish the denting issue would get resolved!!

CATS ARE CARNIVORES, TOO MANY VEGGIES HERE
It's been trendy for awhile to proclaim pet food as being "grain-free", but cats, even more so than dogs, are obligate carnivores and frankly have a hard time DIGESTING CARROTS and other veggies.I don't know of any cat if given the choice that would happily chow down on cranberries or zuchinni for that matter. Sweet potatoes, carrots, blueberries cranberries, squash , zucchini, all of these things are in here, yet Dave has the nerve to describe this product as having "no fillers" pffff...huh ?I'm sure it's much less expensive and fills the can to add all those veggies rather than filling it with what cats really want and *need*, namely MEAT, and then has the nerve to charge almost 40 bucks for 12 cans ! And it's not just Dave's, all the "better" brands shove a bunch of trendy , indigestible and, ahem, cost effective vegetables into a product being sold to the carnivore pets we love. Apparently greed is alive and well in the pet food industry as in most of corporate America.Luckily I found Triumph Turkey formula that has ONLY meat and not a load of fibrous vegetables and fruit that can actually clog a cat's digestion, (I've had it happen) so beware ! Peas and Lentils, which are delicious for Humans, are very starchy and incompatible for a cat's digestion. I'm seeing a lot of these supposedly better brands adding these ingredienrts to both their wet and dry cat foods and I can't help but wonder if they secretly dislike cats and that's why ?!Anyhow, I also had the fermenting issue that another reviewer mentioned which no doubt was caused by over-ripe fruit and or vegetables that really shouldn't be in there to begin with. Buyer beware. Cats need MEAT.

Quality food
My cat loves this food and his coat is gorgeous since we started feeding him this.

It depends.
I put this food in the dishes and my cats stayed a foot away. Didn't even sniff it. Looked at it and left the room. I bought 12 cans. Ugh!! I've tried mixing it with other wet brands they like and nope. My cat that crossed the rainbow bridge previously really liked this Dave's food but the two I have now, not so much. I suggest if you have not fed this food to your cat go to a pet supply store and buy a small can to see if they like it first. I hope the shelter cats like it.

No Damage
Dave's Chicken Flavor Cat Food, is approved by our veterinarian, and has been enjoyed by our cat for several years now, but past few deliveries from UPS have contained several dented cans. This most recent package was more carefully packed, delivered via USPS, and arrived with zero damage! Thank you!
