Great grater!
Previous to this, I had a grater that had very good, sharp cutters. Unfortunately, the frame of the box grater was made of a plastic that shattered after about 3 years of use. I was really torn between whether or not to buy another of the same thing - the cutters were the best that I had ever used, but the frame was just not up to snuff. Then, I found a review on Serious Eats that gave this grater the top rating, so I decided to purchase it. Well, I'm not disappointed! The cutters work very well - they're almost scary sharp, like my last box grater. I had a wedge of Parmesan cheese handy - just a few almost effortless strokes gave me a mound of perfectly grated cheese. Clean up was a breeze - if you use a sponge, just remember to always pass it over the teeth in the opposite way than when you grate. Otherwise you'll end up with a sink full of sponge shreds. The handle is fine, and the grater itself is all metal, so it shouldn't crack and fall apart if I drop it. The only thing that I'm on the fence about is my old grater had rubber-covered steel legs that held it about an inch off the surface I was grating on. That made it easier to use the entire grating surface (including the bottom rows of cutters), and would keep the shreds I was making from building up and compacting in the box - they could flow out onto the surface I was grating on. So, I could grate a whole bunch without having to empty the box. I guess I could always just hold the grater in one hand, the block of food in the other, and grate in the air over a bowl, but that gets a bit awkward if I'm grating something large, like a big heavy block of cheese. Oh, well, just a minor niggle - other than that, this thing is exactly what I was looking for!

A truly excellent box grater
Excellent box grater, with razor blade sharp cutting panels. I cook a lot and I mean every day, multiple times a day. My food processor is terrific but sometimes, a good box grater is all that’s needed and my very old, but also good one has gotten dull. I did what we all should do: research on the best I could afford. So glad I went with Cuisipro after reading many, many brands’ and chefs’ reviews. Maybe a different brand is good too but I can only speak about this one being completely perfect. The ginger/garlic grater that is part of the bottom cap is truly effective and easy to use, the whole thing is easy to clean, and I don’t have a single criticism of this product.

Best Box Grater
I didn’t realize how big of a difference a high quality grater would make. This thing ROCKS. I haven’t tried the mandolin or ginger grater, but the fine grater produced the FLUFFIEST parmesan shreds for garnishing. The coarser sides were fantastic too. Didn’t clog up, felt very sturdy, and was remarkably easy to clean. Immediately shared the link with my mother, and she bought one too. Fantastic tool for every kitchen.

Good but cover on bottom is a bother
This grater does the job including shaving chocolate. I found I only use two slots. The others produce fine results where the item looks like bread crumbs. I thought the container on the bottom would be useful. It's not. Mine takes effort to remove and when it does, pop, your contents spill over the counter which defeats the purpose. Yes, the spilling happens when you have a container under the grater when opening the bottom. No issue with dishwasher- cleans up well.

Sharp and functional
Great! Lots of options. Extremely sharp. Great that it contains the grated food. My fingers are scared of it. Need to be very careful.

Great quality and very sharp!
This grater is very well made, and very sharp! Unlike most box graters, the cutting holes on this are etched and very sharp. The texture on the grating faces is also helpful for helping foods like cheese slide along the face easily.

Good cheese grater. Good price
This cheese grater offers excellent value for its quality and durability. The only drawback is the bottom container that collects the grated cheese. It can be difficult to remove, and when it finally releases, it sometimes causes the contents to spill. With a bit of practice or use, this issue may improve.
