Good for doors less than 1 3/8" thick.
I didn't measure my doors before ordering, and when I tried putting it in place I could just barely slide it on the door, but not slide it sideways. However, I unscrewed the locking knob completely and just removed the inner portion altogether. The lock then fits on the doors and can more easily slide side to side. It still stops the doors from opening when in place, and the kids can't reach the top of the door anyway, so I'm not sure why it would need to "lock" in place at all. The maximum thickness of door that I think it could fit on with the inner portion removed looks to be about 1 3/8".

The concept was great and I have no issues with the seller themselves
The concept was great and I have no issues with the seller themselves. What I do have an issue with is the product. I was hoping to be able to use this to keep our lil ones out of the closet. Each one seems to change clothes numerous times throughout the day. Not sure why. Either way, Toddlers have no issues ripping the door open and that thing just fly's off without much pulling on the doors. If you're wanting to keep infants, small pets or the door just opening on it's own because the door track is not level, this will work fine. For toddlers, I found the cheap $1.50 hook and loop did the job. If they really yank on it, I'm pretty sure the bi-fold doors are coming down or the hook and loop will be pulled out of the door but they haven't figured that out yet. I put it right at the top so the grooves really had some wood to bite into. Good luck.

Keeps Toddler Out of Closet
Bought these to keep my little explorer out of the pantry, linen closet, etc. These work well on slated bi-fold doors.Pros:Can unlock the mechanism and then open the closet with 1 hand, important with baby in other handInexpensiveBlend in nicely with the white painted doorKeeps toddler from rearranging the closetsCons:The locks aren't as sturdy as a thicker plastic or a metal lock would be (these locks are plastic) and if my toddler really wanted to get into the closet, in another year or so he might be able to pull hard enough to break in. (But he hasn't busted into the closet yet.)In all, the product does what it says, keeps my toddler out of the pantry.I recommend purchasing these locks.

Awesome product!
These things are great! They work well to keep toddlers out of closets and such but they will go flying if you forget it's on there and just open the door with a bit of force. I purchased these for all the closets in my home and found that with solid oak doors I had to remove the adjuster piece to get it to fit...not an issue but I don't think they work quite as well without that bit of reinforcement. I also purchased some for the pediatric therapy place to keep littles out of the toy closets and am always told that the other moms love it and want to know where it was purchased! Overall I believe they work well as a training tool to help teach toddlers places that are off limits but eventually the kids will figure out how to yank the door open and send it flying.

Good concept
The concept is good, but if you have anyone stronger than a crawling baby, this is not going to keep the door closed. It was popped off by my toddler within minutes of it being on the door
