King Size 3 Inch Thick, 4 Pound Density Gray Visco Elastic Memory Foam Mattress Pad Bed Topper Made in The USA

UPDATE: I wrote this original review a few months ago and was so happy with this topper. Unfortunately, the topper's performance degraded dramatically as it aged the past few months -- it has become compressed and no longer has the same wonderful feel as when I bought it... downgrading to 3 stars. One note - the company did offer to replace this under warranty and were very very responsive... but frankly I don't think this is a warranty issue with one product, I think it is just how their foam reacts after several months. I am going to try a different topper on Amazon and see how that one performs.With 3000 reviews already, I doubt anyone will ever even see this one, but I still feel compelled to write a review of this product because it has literally transformed my sleep and saved me from buying yet another $3000 mattress. We have purchased 2 mattresses over the past 4 years and each one has cost $3000... and each one has felt great for a while, then become too soft / less supportive. I literally would wake up each morning with pain in my lower back, and found that sleeping on my stomach or back were impossible - so i had to spend the entire night on my side, and would wake up throughout the night with pain. I just assumed it was my back and my lot in life, then we spent the night at a hotel and I had an amazing night's sleep. I found out that their mattress has a gel / memory foam component, and decided to add this to my bed.WOW. No other product has been this transformative. The first night I couldn't wait to try it, and ignored the "air for 3 days before using" warning... big mistake, the fumes were intense. But we aired it out the next day, and by that night the fumes were 80% reduced. This topper cradles me and provides support that the mattress alone does not provide, and my back loves it. I do wish they sold a "pre aired" version of this topper as the fumes do smell really strong and gave me a headache....but thankful that they dissipated in a few days' time. My fault for not following instructions.Everyone is different, so this may or may not work with you, but with Amazon's 30 day return policy it's a risk free trial. At least that's how I looked at it. So happy that I tried this, and hope that it keeps working as well as it has the past few nights. I'll update this review if there is interest.Hope this helps. I purchased a queen size version of this item a few years ago and it was wonderful! Still have it today and I have no cracks or any real issues with it. However, I bought a king size bed and therefore ordered a king size version of this. When it arrived it was only 1 inch of memory foam glued to 2 inches of cheap foam padding. NOT COOL! I returned it with an explanation and they sent another one out to me. The exact same thing was sent with 1 inch of memory foam and 2 inches of cheap padding. I returned it again for a refund. This may only be an issue with the king size mattress pad but nonetheless BUYER BEWARE! CHECK WHEN YOU GET IT TO MAKE SURE IT'S 3" OF ACTUAL MEMORY FOAM! (Side note: Not easy to return a mattress pad that was factory vacuumed sealed so it could fit into a smaller box. Once it's out of the box you will never get it back in the original box.) I attached a photo of what they sent. Kinda hard to see so I put my hand next to it. You can see the two layers glued together.

I purchased this mattress topper in 2011 and recently purchased again for a new bed. This current topper is NOT the same material and quality. Since I knew what to expect, I was surprised to see a white foam base with a 1-inch memory foam layer on top. The topper should be all memory foam!!! I re-ordered thinking I had received the wrong topper, but I got the same thing again and returned it also. I was in contact with Memory Foam Solutions, but they were not forthcoming. I miss my old topper....the 3-inch with 4 pound density was absolutely perfect....it was pure memory foam from top to bottom. I would not recommend this product; it is not as described. Fast forward a few months....I am desperate to find a good quality high density memory foam topper. I want to be assured of the density by doing the math based on its weight. The seller is unable to supply that information because they don't have the manufacturers phone number to answer my question about shipping weight. They are "sales reps" for the company but do not have direct phone contact. Here is an excerpt I received via email: Hello, Thank you for your email regarding your interest in our products. All of the items are made in the U.S.A. We are customer service representatives who do not have access to the manufacturers number. We apologize and have a nice day. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns. We appreciate your business and value you as a customer." I don't know who is certifying this topper as 4 pound density, heck, I don't even know who is making them and neither does the seller!!! I suggest buyer beware of the claims made about this topper and its quality. It might not be anything like the seller's description. I know my two orders were not and both were returned. Can you imagine buying a bed and you want to know who makes it and where, only to be told "in the USA but we don't have their number." Well, same for a topper, I'm not putting a topper over my bed that I don't trust.

This IS memory foam. This size weighed almost 50 lbs, and is a nice dense, heavy 4 lb foam. I have been using it for a week and my severe back and hip pain from my cancer and pressure points is greatly improved. I am glad I purchased this and bought king size to be able to use it for more than one sleep surfaces I would happily recommend this product and am glad I bought one. If you have issues sleeping and suffer from pain, it had helped me a great deal.

Perfect. Exactly what we were hoping for. Enough support to lessen the pain from pressure points. No more pinchy hip feelings! Our mattress was only 2 years old but becoming very uncomfortable. This solved the problem entirely.

No more back pain! We love our new memory foam topper.

Excellent product!

This is the 4th foam topper (be it normal or memory foam) that I've owned and this has been the worst one out of the bunch. At first everything seemed very good with the topper; it arrived in nice packaging, there was no horrible smells and the product appeared to be as described. The first night on it seemed great and there was no hot sensation so we decided to keep it thinking we had a winner. Well fast forward about 10 months now and both my husband and I wake up with sore backs and generally miserable sleep experiences. We took off the topper and slept on the mattress itself (which is a firm tight top about 2 years old) and other than not liking the firmness of the mattress we don't wake in the morning with any sort back pain so we know what the problem is. What has happened is that the product itself must be of cheaper quality and has effectively become a mushy mess now that we sink into but because it's been gradual we didn't really question the topper until just recently. Also, as another reviewer has mentioned, this seems a lot of softer than I would expect out of a 4lb topper but I'll take their word for it. With this being 3", I guess we're just sinking into it and there isn't any "pressure" relief more so it's just a sponge that molds to out body without any support. I gave it 2 stars because of the pros mentioned above, the price was right and it was comfortable for a little bit, but was hoping for at least a couple of years out of it. I haven't approached the company about a warranty exchange but I guess I'll see how that goes and update later.UPDATEThe company came through on the warranty. They had us send it back but they did pay for shipping then sent us a new one (we had to pay brokerage fees on it back into Canada from the US). So I'd say they stand behind the product and that's important in my books.

We are using this memory foam over a sheet of plywood (without a mattress whatsoever) and we do not have any back problems anymore. The best thing for your back is not a soft, cushy mattress but a very firm one.Forget about 2,000$ mattresses, they always end up losing their original shape after 1 year.Simple solution and the most cost-effective one around!

Surprised how much my partner and I enjoyed this topper. Was sold on it after the first nights sleep. If you have sagging spring issues it may not be sufficient in resolving that but it still a worthy purchase. There is an expected smell as it is foam. Took some time to air off to where I no longer notice it in the room. On that token I also did not find it overly bothersome either.

Purchased a 3" and received a 2.25". Told this was "normal". Have previously ordered a 3" and received a 3"

This is what I have after opening the packing a week ago. Large area on the topper is not expanding. Trying to return it...

My parents love it! It makes sleeping so comfortable. I wish I would have bought one for ourselves. We bought king size for their queen bed because it was such a good deal then cut off excess.

Although pricey this was a great investment as it is absolutely fantastic. I've never got such a good nights sleep this mattress protector is phenomenal and I would definitely recommend it!

Very little heat, but I guess that good if you want limited power usage
