Mini Butterflies Tattoos: 19 Temporary Tattoos (Dover Little Activity Books: Insects)

This pack contains a variety of sizes and colors of butterflies. Perfect for the preschooler "bug" party for which it was purchased, these tattoos were all around 1-2 inches in size and fit nicely on everyone's little arms and hands. Even better was the fact that these have great "staying" power and did not wash off for a few days, unlike others we have purchased that melt away before the end of the day. The tattoos did remove easily with baby oil. The best part is that these were realistic pictures of butterflies (rather than cartoonish), while still being appropriate for children ages 3-5 to have on their arms. Important to note for those of you looking to put these into goody bags, this pack did not have perforations between the tattoos nor are these placed on the page where a straight line can be cut between each. We had to cut around each individual one which was easy enough, but wanted to share the information in the review.We purchased a number of this brand of tattoos with different insects/bugs and the review holds true for each book purchased.

For the mom, these are perfect. They go on easily & come off easily. For a child, it's a little disappointing because they want the tattoo to remain on their arm/leg/belly/face/any other weird spot they can find until they run out of spaces for more tattoos.I like the fact that a little Ivory soap and a washcloth get these off without irritating my toddler's skin.The colors are amazing! If your child is studying butterflies, these are very realistic.

I purchased these as a gift for a little Burmese girl who hasn't been in our country very long. She is thrilled and amazed. She loves butterflies and can't believe they can magically be on her skin. They are so easy to use. It takes 30 seconds to transfer and I count the time out loud and at the end I say 'finished'. We take the paper off and she laughs and runs around the room showing everybody. They stay on for days and that makes her happy.It's a small amount of money to make a child so thrilled.

I would give it 5 stars, except that the butterflies have to be cut with a scissors before hand before applying the tattoo. If I could tear it along a perforation it would be perfect for travel, when the butterflies entertained my toddler a lot (for e.g. airplane rides, long car rides).

These are very fun mini tattoos. Most of them are not much bigger than a thumbnail. They are not overly bright but they are instead more true to life colors. So instead of neon orange, it would be a more tan orange color. These are lovely tattoos. What you see on the cover is exactly what you can expect with the rest of the tattoos.

Cheap, fine for kids. Lasts about 3-4 days. Bought for a young teen. I wanted small temporary tattoos and she loved these. They were just fine and at a great price.

I have no desire for a real tatto. Why do I want some stranger permanently writing on my body? But these tattoos are fun to play around with. They are easy to apply and look great for at least 3 days. Depending on where you place them will depend on how long they last before starting to wear off.

satisfied 7 and 4 yo girls. Tattoos look as exactly pictured. Beautiful, easy to use and last long if you don't scrub it.

The butterfly image was stuck to the clear cover so I didn't get the whole image for my leg, very disappointing

I have purchased several of the Dover Little Activity Books to create extra special Christmas gifts for the children of two families. The vast variety of activities provided in these books will no doubt provide them with several hours of screen-free entertainment!!
