If you are a Toni braxton fan, then it’s a must.You do wonder how at times she could be so stupid, but it’s an ok film of the singer life.

It is a string of hits, the beautiful Toni and her warm family, the sultry voice, but also the struggles of a righteous woman in a world full of sharks....... Luckily the time has reversed, you go girl, Toni, into the real 3rd millennium this time !

This film has a documentary-like earthiness. The unaffected style of camerawork and acting, and the quite linear story-line, reinforce this quality and give the film a strong impact. There is a scene deleted from the released print that you will learn about in the extras. Given the mayhem going on in the world at the time of its release, this bit of "censorship" seems astonishing. An interesting titbit - the film is not spoilt by the concession to taste.

The pre-war films are the best.
