Sixty for Sax: Progressive studies for unaccompanied saxophone

This is an invaluable collection for anyone learning the Sax (alto or tenor). The difficulty level progresses steadily from simple to truly challenging, but along with that, they're all tuneful and genuinely enjoyable to play. It has really helped me in the learning process and is still giving me both challenge and fun.

I'm not a good player despite doing it for a few years. (Probably grade 5 on a good day). This starts easy and gives you a chance to build up pace and complexity. I'm a little over half way through and there have only a couple of tunes i haven't enjoyed. Good for sight reading, rhythm patterns and playing in different styles (and keys). All short pieces and therefore adds variety to practice.

Bought for an ABRSM grade 6 exam piece. I was pleased to be able to buy this second hand as you can spend a lot on music that you don’t need for long. It arrived promptly and in useable condition.

A book of progressive studies for saxophone. The pieces are interesting and enjoyable, exploring various technical aspects of playing. A number of these studies are ABRSM set pieces. Highly recommended.

I bought this book as it has pieces from multiple grades in it so it will last me a longer time. There are lots of fun pieces to play in here and they range in standard from Grade 1 to Grade 8. It's worth getting a secondhand copy as they're much cheaper.

Have been playing saxophone for about 6 months and wanted something a bit more entertaining that the music typically provided by the teach you books around. Found this book and it serves the purpose well.

Good book, I'm a beginner so much of it is beyond me atm, so there is years of playing inside this book for me.At first I found even the easy pieces too hard, but with a little perseverance I am getting some of them.

If you're taking AB grade exams on a budget, then this is the book for you. It contains good, melodic pieces and seems to be on the AB exam syllabus at every grade.I'm a saxophone teacher of 20+ years experience and use this book regularly with my students.
