Hi Elizabeth, not entirely sure if these shoes will be OK for your problem, basically they are a very comfortable shoe and are no different from standard shoes except for the metal toecap. The shoe is designed to be quite fashionable while having the ability to protect your foot should something heavy fall on it. I have been using them for the last 3 years with no discomfort. If you've bought these, does the leather, if that is what , start to crack around the toe cap area and behind after a few months?

Had mine for sometime & I wear them during the week for nine hours a day & they have not cracked or show signs of it. Good buy. 
