Good taste
This is really good, much better than the ‘stock cubes’ very authentic taste for your sushi dipping sauce

It’s good at adding serious depth to stock
In my limited experience, this product is excellent. I used it to really add some depth to a vegetable stock I used for a cod ramen, and it was delicious. I’m English, cooking in England. As I say, my experience with this cuisine style is limited, but I’m very happy with this product, and would recommend it.

Delicious in Miso soup!
I use this with the Hikari miso paste to make soup for lunch at work and it adds a good punch of salty umami. Really delicious product and super convenient being a liquid.

Good concentrated flavour
Used it to make a clear dashi broth. Just add to hot water. Then add the exciting stuff…

I put it in everything
It's just great. I dilute it to make a cup of broth to drink with meals, put it in batter for Okonomiyaki, put it in egg for steamed egg, pour it over fried/sauteed veg to steam off at the end of cooking ... basically it's just super delicious liquid stock. It makes everything taste better.

Dashi at your fingertips in a flash
Excellent shortcut that provides all the fullness and umami you need in whatever dish you are cooking, whether Japanese or Western. This provides the backbone of a lovely Nikujaga as well the savoury foundations of a meat ragu. You can of course use fishsauce, but I find this provide a clean savouriness and control over salt content minus the funk. Highly recommended!
