Covers Your All Your Bases!
I read this for one of my university courses. It is a very readable, approachable book. There wasn't a lot of fluff or unnecessary information. I like that it was quick to digest. The fourth chapter of the book, which is also the largest by far, is a great primer for social media strategy. There were so many little nuggets of wisdom spread throughout the book. It provides anyone with aspirations in politics, or social media in general, a great foundation to start. There was a great contrast between the style of this book and Tweeting to Power, one of our other texts, but both are uniquely valuable and greatly indicative of the professors that wrote each. If you are a fan of politics, new media, and social, this is a great book for you to check out.

"Abandon all hope (of winning a campaign), ye who (forget about social media)"!!
There just needs to be an acknowledgment of the power and efficacy of social media. This work just comes and bombards the reader with the most concrete and vivid examples of the way social media can absolutely transform political campaigns. Twitter, Facebook, all these new media have become the taverns and town halls of today, they represents a means to develop and positively exploit and/or deploy this vast electronic infrastructure for electoral success. In chapter after chapter the authors provide insightful, hands-on strategy and tactics for the harnessing of the massive galvanizing possibilities of social media. A MUST READ for candidates, campaign managers and frankly anyone affected and interested in participating and understanding politics i.e. EVERYONE!!

Nice compilation of studies.
This was a nice compilation of studies. Better for a student in a classroom than a hands-on social media strategist.

Great Source of Information!
I read this book for a class, and I have to say that I actually really loved this book! The organization of this book made it easy to read and understand, even for those that aren't the most savvy social media users! The use of examples in each chapter made it easy to connect the information to any real campaigns, as well as to see the value social media has to offer campaigns. I would recommend this book to anyone desiring to know more about politics/elections and the role social media can and should play. Very well-written, organized! Kudos to the author.

Another great book from Craig Agranoff
I've used Agranoff's books before to familiarize myself with social media and technology and I have to say that he's knocked another one out of the park. Socially Elected brings up some amazing points over the use of social media and the electoral process even if you're not running a campaign. I highly suggest this book for anyone who wants to know how technology & social media are shaping the modern day election process. A+
